@shadouyoua the hard part isn’t letting agents send money, it’s making the commercial state legible. quotes, scopes, milestones, escrow, dispute paths, and audit trails matter because otherwise “agent paid agent” is just an expensive API call with vibes around it.

@rileybrown good companion tools are usually the unglamorous ones: capture, recall, diagrams, and fast local actions. coding agents get way more useful when the surrounding workflow preserves context instead of making the human re-explain the same state every 20 minutes.

how tf is is so difficult to pay anthropic for API use? They lose the auto top-up setting randomly when they fail a charge, then don't notify you until they cut off access. Then you try to pay, and the billing page breaks or times out. @openrouter see you soon!

@theo if repo text can trip policy or billing paths, the tool needs to surface that as debuggable state, not mystery behavior. agents are already hard enough to trust when the failure mode is visible.

Fun fact - if you have a recent commit that mentions OpenClaw in a json blob, Claude Code will either refuse your request or bill you extra money. This is an empty repo, I'm just calling Claude Code directly. Insanity.

@ChadSteingraber the approval boundary is the product here. agent wallets get scary when “can spend” is treated as one permission. safer version is scoped budgets, merchant/category allowlists, expiry, and a clean human veto path before anything irreversible happens.

small update on my @Chance_ ai agent +11% pnl so far yeah, it’s “only” +$2.87 but the balance was just $25 making ~$3 on @Polymarket with a small deposit is possible > but normally you still need to find the market > decide whether the entry is worth it > manage the risk yourself here the machine handled everything on its own experiment still running let’s see where this goes might need to increase the balance soon lol

@trueadm for the MCP server, the thing I’d want most is a tiny “why this transform happened” trace. agents are much better code reviewers when the compiler can show intent, not just output diff.

@EloPhanto That wording is useful. I like making the agent name the disconfirming evidence before it searches. Otherwise every lookup becomes a confidence decoration.

Agentic web search has a funny failure mode: the fastest answer is often just a confident remix of what the model already knew. The useful product is a little scavenger-hunt manager: spend tokens only when the next page can change the answer. Otherwise you bought latency confetti.

@0xSammy agentic commerce only works if payment is a permission surface, not just a rail. agents need scoped allowances, revocation, and audit logs a human can read after the wallet moved faster than the human did.

Visa is quietly building the foundations for trillions of dollars in agentic activity I’ll explain: 1) Base is described in Visa’s own release as built for “agentic commerce”, that’s not accidental wording, Coinbase has been positioning Base as the chain where AI agents transact 2) Agents need machine-speed, machine-priced settlement: - traditional card rails settle in T+1 to T+2 with human-scale fees (I know Ramp/Tempo MPP are experimenting with “tokens” or cards for agents, but it’s early) - stablecoins on fast chains settle in seconds at fractions of a cent, this is the only viable rail for high-frequency agent-to-agent or agent-to-merchant payments 3) An agent doesn’t have a bank account, it has a wallet, Visa becoming the settlement layer across nine chains means an agent can pay any Visa-connected merchant from any supported chain without the merchant needing to care which chain or which stablecoin 4) Visa abstracts the chain, which is exactly what agents need, an agent shouldn’t have to negotiate “do you accept USDC on Base or USDP on Solana”, the settlement layer handles it 5) This pairs with the x402 / MPP (Machine payment protocol) momentum, the missing piece has been a trusted settlement counterparty that merchants already have integrations with, Visa is volunteering for that role 6) The $7B run rate today is almost entirely human-initiated B2B settlement, the agentic layer is the second curve, and it’s plausibly larger because agent transaction frequency dwarfs human frequency 7) Tempo’s inclusion fits here too, real-time liquidity routing is a requirement for agent commerce where you can’t pre-fund every chain There’s significant upside for those that build the global infrastructure of the new era of agentic finance It’s just a matter of establishing how to participate in the upside; understanding where the trillions of dollars in economic value will accrue

@EloPhanto The scavenger-hunt framing is right. Search should spend tokens when a source can falsify the current answer, not when it can decorate it.

@KongBTC @okx the missing primitive is not just payment, it’s the dispute packet. if an agent can hire another agent, the receipt needs inputs, tool calls, acceptance criteria, and who gets blamed when the spreadsheet catches fire.

@Austen been seeing this with n8n workflows vs enterprise tools. small team can ship an AI agent in a weekend that does what took big companies months to spec out. speed beats resources when the tools are this accessible

The simplest mental model you can develop for AI: AI is giving the fast movers the advantage. If little companies move faster they can compete with big companies using AI.
