One of my biggest gripes when Poch was manager was the language barrier. Considering he had been in England for around 10 years in total, his English is still awful. It’s hard to connect with someone who simply doesn’t make sense most of the time. I don’t know how the players could too.

I think this really gets to the heart of Chelsea’s problems. There’s simply a lack of connection between fans, players and then the wider club. Poch started fixing that, Maresca picked it up to an extent but it is back to square one after this season.

@elpisha17 @shaunypizzle Maresca had a bad spell of form in December but he would've turned it around with those fixtures in January,all bottom of the league fixtures,if the board backed Maresca in the market we wouldnt have lost so many game in December,notice how everything bad come down to recruitment
