@DeeOneAyekooto All animals including humans are territorial in nature. Land dispute has been a delicate issue since the Biblical time, all plots of land are ancestral homes of some indigenous people. It is a deliberate provocation to call any land a no man's land.

@AbubakarCheche @egi_nupe Let's be fair to Sanusi, he didn't start today. He has been consistent on this economic recommendation for the past 10years. It is from Okonjo and Sanusi's recommendations that BAT derives his economic policy.

@egi_nupe It seems like something is brewing in Kano State and the Kano emirate might be affected as the political permutations changes. So, this PR stunt by the Emir in support of the FG might be a token to extract political support to retain his throne.

Breaking News🔥🔥🔥 The Court of Appeal has today reaffirmed Itsekiri ownership, ruling decisively that Ogbe-ijaw has no territorial claim within Warri South Local Government Area. The judgment was delivered in Appeal No. CA/AS/154/2024, filed by Ijaw parties claiming royal and territorial entitlement in Warri South. The Court dismissed the appeal in its entirety, upholding Itsekiri ownership and authority. More details to follow.

The discussion stems from recent reports where Lagos Gov. Sanwo-Olu's administration criticized the Nigerian Ports Authority's plan to shift some operations from congested Lagos ports to Warri to ease traffic. This isn't outright opposition to opening Warri/Port Harcourt ports but resistance to diverting focus from Lagos. Efforts to revitalize eastern ports are ongoing for national efficiency, per NPA statements.

Why is Sanwo-Olu against the opening of the Warri Port Harcourt port? Do they want us to use only the Lagos Port? Don't they want people to go back to their states?

@justkency @DeeOneAyekooto Just as stated by Obafelami Awolowo, there are no Nigerians as we have Ghanaians. Be reminded that some Nigerians living in USA lobbied Trump to do this. Moreso, we can see how their counterparts in Nigeria are jubilating.

Agreed, but why are they not threatening Ghana? This is a colossal failure on Tinubu's administration because he has the opportunity to clamp down insecurity. He promised to do so but failed to deliver. Nigeria government should stop playing politics with Nigerian lives. This is not the time for criticism but reflection on our failures. It is embarrassing that the US is interfering with our issues. It clearly showed that Tinubu has failed, and we his supporters must be honest enough to say the truth.

@UchennaEkechuk2 @firstladyship Your father Nnamdi Azikiwe fought through out his life to fragmentate the Yoruba into Ẹgba, Ẹkiti, Awori, Itsẹkiri, Yagba and other Yoruba dialects. Even you his descendants do it when you wish no matter how we tell you that we are one. So you now know that we are all Yorubas?

Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi is the DG of DSS, and he is from Kwara State in the North Central. Evidently, he is a Yoruba man. Lateef Fagbemi is the Attorney General and Minister of Justice. He is from Kogi State in the North Central. Evidently, he is a Yoruba man. Bayo Ojulari is the GMD of NNPC. He is from Kwara State in the North Central. Evidently, he is a Yoruba man. Ojo Amupitan is the Chairman of INEC. He is from Kogi State in the North Central. Evidently, he is a Yoruba man. Tinubu and his gang of Ronu ethnic bigots think they are smart. They have 'smartly' handed over all critical appointments zoned to the North Central to their Yoruba kits and kin. Down in the South, the Yorubas have also been handed over more than 90% of the critical and strategic positions due to the South. Even Buhari was not this brazen in his sectionalism and nepotism! The North has been played!

As long as people with this narrative come up, we will be here to counter it. An Igbo man can and will NEVER be a governor in Lagos State. Whoever wants that is a dangerous and unfortunate person. A Hausa man cannot be a governor in Enugu. Neither can a Yorùbá man be a governor in Katsina. It won't happen!

THINK YORUBA FIRST ORGANIZATION PRESS RELEASE!!! URGENT CALL TO ACTION: PROTECTING ITSEKIRI HERITAGE IN WARRI SOUTH Dear Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, We hereby bring to your immediate attention the brewing tensions in Warri South between our Itsekiri brethren and Ijaw settlers, ignited by the daring display of provocative flyers related to the disrespectful installation of an Ogbe-Ijoh king by the latter. As a leading social cultural and political organization representing the interest of all sons of Oduduwa globally, we are deeply concerned about the safety and security of Itsekiris, who are the indigenous Yorubas of Warri South. As the ancestral and legal landowners of Warri South, the Itsekiri community and the entire Yorubaland view this act as an affront and a violation of conventional codes guiding host-settler relationships, all over the world. It is even more infuriating given the landmark ruling by a competent court of jurisdiction that Ijaws lack the locus standi to lay claim to indigenous status in any inch of Warri South. Historically and legally, it is a statement of fact that the Ogbe-Ijoh settlers who are recognized as customary tenants in Warri Southwest and Warri North Local Government Areas, have zero historical or legal ties to Warri South LGA. Therefore, the display of their king's flyers in Warri South is not only a direct attack on the heritage of Itsekiris but also a clear violation of the legal framework that governs our domain. This act is capable of gravely threatening the fragile peace currently been maintained. Our demand is clear and non-negotiable - the Ogbe-Ijoh community must remove every one of those provocative flyers from Warri South as the only condition for further peaceful engagements. It is not only the sensible thing to do but also the respectful act to carry out as migrants under the overlordship of the Olu of Warri. Any attempt to challenge our Monarch’s ancestral birthright will be resisted by every Yoruba man and woman. As a responsible and just governor, we expect your administration to take swift and decisive actions to first uphold the law and protect the ancestral heritage of the Itsekiris in Warri South. Delayed or zero intervention on your part may lead to severe consequences, least of which may be a total breakdown of law and order. History will either remember you as the hero who prevented loss of lives or vilify you as the indecisive leader who failed to do the needful when necessary.
