Yes, some people celebrate new passports. Same way plenty Westerners celebrate moving to Dubai, Bali, or Cape Town and won't stop posting sunset photos. Humans celebrate mobility, it's not a Nigerian thing. And no, Nigeria isn't unlivable. It’s complicated. People chase opportunities abroad the same way Eastern Europeans, Indians, South Americans, and even your own citizens do. But somehow when it's Africans, you turn migration into a moral diagnosis of the entire country. That question Is Nigeria really that unlivable? carries a tone you wouldn't dare use on any other nationality. Respectfully, check the bias. Next time, talk with Nigerians, not about Nigerians.
