The pandemic has has negatively impacted the obesity epidemic due to reduced physical activity and increased stress levels. I strongly recommend everyone to go for daily walks at least 30 mins a day! #thewalktoweightloss #obesity

April 2020 it was clear that obesity was the 2nd biggest factor to severe illness next to age. I was told on TV by a dr that I "must not demonise the obese!" Imagine if we had spent the wasted billions on helping people get fit and out of their damaging metabolic crisis.

@DrJohnKirwan Thanks for the insightful information. I did not know that sleep influenced the obesity epidemic.

@em203blee COVID may have worsened the obesity epidemic. Early on physical activity levels fell & stress levels rose. People slept less & more poorly. Those behaviors are linked to obesity. On the plus side, the virus's impact on people with obesity raised awareness of the epidemic/disease.
