We are excited to share that we have launched our new public-facing website today, emas.nhs.uk The website is essential to keep members of the public well informed about the services we provide at EMAS, to share the vacancies available, as well as important news affecting our staff, stakeholders and our patients. We are grateful to the individuals who supported the update and creation of 100+ new pages of content, and to the staff and community first responder volunteers who responded to pilot the new site and provide positive feedback to the team before going live, making the site as accessible as possible. So a BIG thank you to everyone involved. We hope you also enjoy this brand-new browsing experience.

We are pleased to share that EMAS will soon be providing the Non-emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) in Lincolnshire from Saturday 1 July 2023, alongside the emergency ambulance care we already provide in the county, and in addition to our current NEPTS in Derbyshire and Northamptonshire. In the past few months, a lot of preparations were underway across EMAS ahead of the go live date, including the new Lincolnshire control and NEPTS base site opening, recruitment of new call handlers, organising the transfer of staff from the current NEPTS provider, purchase and build of new fleet and equipment, communications with different stakeholders, as well as training and onboarding preparations. Thanks to all the teams involved across EMAS for their hard work and resilience over the past year in making sure we have a smooth transition as we welcome our new NEPTS Lincolnshire colleagues to the EMAS family. The EMAS NEPTS booking line is 0300 300 3434 (8am to 8pm seven days a week). Our call handler will assess whether a patient is eligible for NHS funded transport by asking a few simple questions about the patient’s medical condition and mobility needs. The patient transport service is open for booking no more than seven days before the actual appointment day. ✅If any patient or healthcare professional has already arranged a journey after 1 July with the current service provider, there is no need to contact us again to confirm the arrangement as the journey details will be transferred to us accordingly. 👍 To learn more about the booking process and eligibility criteria, please refer to EMAS website (emas.nhs.uk) where a new patient information leaflet is also available online now. Please give our crew a wave 👋 when you see them!
