Michael Carrick earned the Manchester United job, you can't say he didn't. If the club have canvassed the market & believe he is the man, I completely get this.
Give him a two year deal, an improved squad with more options & quality in depth, add to his backroom staff & a chance to expand on the play style.
This summer is the platform to build upon for Project 2028. Now show the ambition to make that realistic.

The expectation is for #MUFC to offer Michael Carrick the permanent head coach role for next season. No concrete talks or official decision has been made yet but it's looking increasingly likely that the club want to continue with the 44-year-old following impressive past months.

One thing about those who believed Amorim was getting it right and was the man to take us back to glory days is; they’re obsessed with stats and graphics.
Stats and graphics are numerical and graphical indicator/determinator of future events. Stats don’t lie, they determine the future, sooner or later it’ll surely happen if the trend continues.
This season, we were leading in all positive stats in the league, we were creating chances, scoring first and playing progressive football. One thing we lacked was controlling the game, we couldn’t keep the ball much longer, couldn’t pass it around to open spaces, we couldn’t push the defense up because our midfielders has no legs, our defense weren’t compact because they can’t operate in open spaces. We gave the ball away cheaply and concede easy goals.
In return the manager asked for a midfielder in winter after being promised one in the summer, but in return the board asked him to change formation/tactics to suit the current squad. As a serious manager who is building an identity of play would never agree to that, won’t abandon his long term project for a quick fix that would disable all he’s been tirelessly working on for more than a year. He snapped at the board and their relationship broke getting him sacked after few days.
With the new manager who chose short term goals, the stats points to an event people are refusing to admit. Once again stats don’t lie, sooner or later all event will lead to it’s prediction.
