Walked out of a super popular movie today. Lots of action, but not tied to any character stakes I cared about. It felt like a video game I was watching someone else play. I left because I was drifting off and starting to snore, and that's not considerate to the other movie-goers.

We moved to England when I was 13, and a weird world of international TV was open to me-- and shows like MONKEY! completely grabbed my imagination. Along with all kinds of bizarre British sci-fi shows like BLAKE'S 7. I wonder if watching MONKEY! as an adult would ruin it for me.
