@danielcincu@bill14051@DJSnM They would never have enough energy to overcome the engine thrust, considering that same thrust is what launched them in the first place. First law of thermodynamics and all that. Staggered engine startup is a good counter argument though.
So now I’ve got a minute to talk. In some ways the Superheavy flip after engine failures resembles those seen by Astra and Firefly.
The vehicle flipped because fins and flaps mean the center of drag is in front of center of mass, so it’s aerodynamically unstable.
@DJSnM Scott, how would debris overcome the massive thrust surrounding the area immediately below the rocket? I imagine it’s much like a water tap that you open onto a thick layer of sand. The sand would crater, but I’m pretty sure none would get into the tap itself?
One question I have is how many of the engine failures were related to debris, pressures or other conditions on the launch stand. I expect more than a few will have a root cause that can be solved by modifications to Stage 0
@torybruno I see you respond to all these tweets, my orbits day is a while away so no need for swag just yet. Glad to have you help spread the love for all things space. Keep at it, the more passionate people, the better!
@LTCUnderground@VigilantFox Of course. Study has a control group of homeschool kids. Kids from parents that want to shield them from the world. Besides that; studies were funded by groups that constantly push anti vax crap
Study Finds Massive Disparity in Chronic Disease Between Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Children
"These are shocking numbers." (Vaxed vs Unvaxed)
• Allergic Rhinitis - 10.4% vs 0.4%
• Other Allergies - 22.2% vs 6.9%
• Eczema - 9.5% vs 3.6%
• Learning Disability, ADHD, or ASD - 10.5% vs 3.1%
• Any Chronic Illness - 44.0% vs 25.0%
@justinAB_SF@Gr8TweetNTheSky@NateSilver538@ForecasterEnten How is it more precise lol. They have identical granularity. Just add more decimals. And in no practical application is the added pseudo-granularity-because-we-hate-decimals useful either
@Gr8TweetNTheSky@NateSilver538@ForecasterEnten The scientific community actually think farenheit is a better more precise measurement for air temperature feel. Agreed with metric on everything else
Numbers are numbers right? Well not always.
The US is one of only a few countries that doesn’t use the metric system...but most of us still encounter it daily.
So what gives? It turns out it has a lot of with national pride, history & (of course) politics. cnn.it/3mmUjNb
@ShrtCrctYT This is probably a stupid question, but were you holding the AF button during your 8k test? AF-F is auto-tracking but AF-C needs the button. My Z9 does a significantly better with video than your sample did.
