Beautiful, democratically-controlled, permanently affordable housing for all isn’t a pipe dream: it’s social housing, and I’m fighting to bring it NY. We can have housing that allows people to live with dignity and supports our climate goals. But we have to organize for it.

Methane is the main ingredient in gas, and it’s 80x more potent than carbon while it’s in the atmosphere. Any attempt to change how we account for methane pollution in our climate law is a giveaway to the oil and gas industry, at the expense of the health of New Yorkers.

Importantly, Mr. Lewis can represent his peers bc of HALT. In addition to banning solitary, it allowed incarcerated people to have legal representation at these tribunals. HALT protects the humanity of people who get caught in the system. I will fight for it.

NYC is home to more millionaires and billionaires than any other place on Earth, and Trump just gave them a massive federal tax cut. Hundreds of thousands of NYers are about to lose healthcare because of that same cut. We can literally save lives by raising taxes on the rich.
