America will not be lectured about civility by far right extremists in Congress. Charters are supposed to create franchise equity value. Pure and simple. Whether they really do is a function of the success of the series commercially. If the series stalls, the charters will have less value to those who wish to be in the sport. It's just business with goal of brand equity.

Just a few small things to think about: can’t fit more than 27 cars at a lot of tracks. 27 is a healthy number. The whole point of charters is to give teams something of value other than cars and trucks. If a new team wants in, offer up enough money to convince someone to sell a charter. As someone who myself would want to be an open car even this year at some point, it’s a shame. But I certainly understand the business side of it. There can be debate until you’re blue in the face hah but I still remember when we were struggling to get 22 cars in the field full time… yet we still got 33 at the 500 and even bumping. Would have still had bumping this year had Prema not fallen apart and f2 didn’t adjust their schedule. I do understand the discourse to some extent
