this OpenClaw bot finds restaurants with ugly food photos, redrafts them as IG posts, and mails the owner a postcard...on autopilot.
here's how social-media agencies can use this system and land clients:
- scrapes every restaurant in a city in real time
- filters by review count + rating + last post date + photo quality
- pulls the strongest food photo from Google Maps reviews
- samples the brand palette from the restaurant's own visual identity
- AI-redrafts the photo into a 9:16 brand-matched Instagram post
- writes a postcard quoting a real reviewer + dish
- mails it to the owner by first name with a preview QR
every step from discovery to brand-matching to outreach is automated.
reply "GUIDE" + RT and I'll send you a free guide so you can build this too

token theft is a huge problem but part of it is also bc companies haven't really cracked the right usage-based billing structure... the pay-as-you-go abuse pattern could be solved if ai businesses used top-ups and credit draw-downs

i grew up in bangkok. the sun is in your apartment all day, so you never think about lighting. home just feels good on its own.
first winter in nyc, my apartment barely got any light. couldn't figure out why i didn't want to be home.
lighting has the highest impact on mood while requiring the lowest effort from you. that's why i started @buddydesignco .

built an interactive guide to teach you the basics of mahjong ! 🀄
it includes rulesets from different regions (hk and taiwan for now) with a few interactive elements to illustrate mahjong concepts. more demos in thread, and a bit about the tools i used to build this.
the one thing this guide can’t really capture is how social mahjong is -- mahjong tables are never silent ! they’re full of overlapping conversations and the constant click-clack of acrylic tiles stacking and shuffling against each other. come to @modal's mahjong night tmrw to experience that part for yourself : )

Imagine every pixel on your screen, streamed live directly from a model. No HTML, no layout engine, no code. Just exactly what you want to see. @eddiejiao_obj, @drewocarr and I built a prototype to see how this could actually work, and set out to make it real. We're calling it Flipbook. (1/5)

i've been thinking about the @hatchforsleep restore 3 (the $169 sunrise alarm) because it's one of the more interesting design tensions in wellness hardware right now.
the form is genuinely excellent, but the experience sort of runs against itself...

BIG PERSONAL UPDATE. I've joined a16z as a partner investing in infra and AI. I'm also stepping down as CEO of Rosebud AI. I reflect in this article on my 8 years of building in generative AI. At @a16z I‘ll be focusing on the frontier model stack: the models, and the infra and dev tooling around them. I'm excited about rapid model progress, increasingly driven by AI itself, and about what AI is unlocking for math and the sciences. And I’ll always have a soft spot for AI creative tools, having built them for 8 years.
