Career Service workers (post-probation) have due process rights under state law: termination only for cause, with 10 days' notice of specific charges, evidence, and opportunity to respond and appeal. A mass email demanding 5 accomplishments lacks these elements and could invite lawsuits. At-will roles (e.g., senior management) have fewer protections.

As Florida Governor, I'll send out a mass email to all 260,000 state employees and ask them "What did you get done this week?" If they don't reply with 5 accomplishments, they're out.

I had "gender dysphoria" as a child, but they didn't call it that back then. They just called me a tomboy. The resolution to my childhood anguish came with maturity which brought understanding and self-acceptance. There is nothing wrong with being a tomboy. Many gay adults experienced these issues in childhood. I thank my lucky stars I was born before people like you came along to medicalise me and tell me there is something wrong with my body. I know you have good intentions but that sense of being born in the wrong body is a feeling not a fact. In the vast majority of cases it resolves itself in time. Puberty is a rite of passage we all must undertake. All this gender-affirming care is unnecessary for children. Many will simply develop into gay adults. Stop this horrifying medical experimentation on such vulnerable young people. Let nature (and karma) take its course. Save the interventions for mature adults who fully understand the lifelong implications. Children cannot. You want to help, but if it were me in your care - you would have hurt me, badly, for life. LEAVE. THE. KIDS. ALONE.

Imagine you have a highly distressed young person, they were born one gender, but identify as another. As they reach puberty the distress intensifies. They become acutely suicidal and see no way out. This situation could require puberty blockers to save the young persons life. Imagine not being allowed to give this life saving treatment because of of "gender critical" campaigners. I'm not sure explaining gender critical ideology would bring any solace to grieving parents. Treating young people is always complex, and clinicians need all tools possible at their disposal. It doesn't mean they use them lightly or easily, but it's there if they need to. Follow the evidence, not the hysteria or ideology. Stop playing politics with Trans lives.
