It was never ok to profile Muslims. It was never ok to torture. It was never ok extraordinary rendition. It was never ok to drone strike a wedding. It was never ok to regurgitate the state's lies. It was never ok to put kids in cages. It was never ok to turn a blind eye.

But to answer your question, even though your dodging the discussion here, yes I think the oppression of white men in contemporary America is worse than what black slaves went through in America. I would argue that the fact black slaves had a lower suicide rate than white men today largely speaks to this. Clearly the institutional pressure against Whites is more destructive on them than slavery was for blacks.

@fredsoda Yeah the american dynamism (cheating) is kind of grandfathered in at this point. Any effort to make play more fair is DOA - what are you trying to do, take bread out of their mouths?

Hearing @who_shot_jgr talking about highways on @bloodworkshow "You are demolishing people's businesses in order to prioritize that. . you are tearing down . . the economic engine, the place that drives the region, the place that pays the taxes" makes me think about AI.

“mras that agreed with feminism but decided to hate women instead of doing anything practical”
ChameleosNotExisting@Burden_Existing

Even those who fancy themselves to be anti-authoritarians often fall for the liberal bait of believing that there exists a 'free' field (as in, 'free speech') that is somehow outside institutional power. Alas, private conduct is ALSO an active juridicial category in and of itself

There is zero justice if someone in their late 70s to early 80s could kill an entire family with their car and get their license back Again, you cannot possibly gaslight me into thinking elderly people getting driving *PRIVILEGES* revoked for age-related impairments is ageist
Heather Knight@hknightsf

Nobody disputes that Mary Lau was driving 75 miles per hour on San Francisco streets when she struck and killed an entire family. On Friday, a judge is expected to give her probation. After that, she could get her license back. The case raises the question, what is justice?
