Wow! "Whatever one may think of Israel, every reasonable person can agree that Netanyahu is bad for Israel. He and Trump both are only back in power as a way of trying to remain out of prison. They’re both toxically unpopular in their respective nations. So why would Trump tie his own sinking fate to that of Netanyahu’s sinking fate, when the two of them were never going to see eye to eye about why they were blowing up Iran? Sure enough, Trump (or whoever is doing his social media posting for him these days) has finally figured out that this is an absolute disaster. Trump publicly demanded last night that Israel stop attacking Iran. Huh? All of two weeks ago, Trump and Israel were attacking Iran together. And now Trump is demanding, on his own personal fake Twitter social network, that Israel… stop carrying out his joint war with Israel?"

Republicans you really are psychotic. “Committee Chairman Rand Paul, who spent much of Wednesday’s confirmation hearing lighting Mullin up, voted no. Paul accused Mullin of having anger management issues, called him a liar, and played a series of clips of the former MMA fighter promoting fighting and challenging a Senate witness to a brawl. Paul also accused Mullin of applauding the 2017 attack that left Paul with broken ribs. Mullin denied supporting violence but did not apologize. Democrats raised broader concerns. Mullin, a former plumber with no law enforcement experience, could not describe the primary mission of Homeland Security Investigations at his hearing Wednesday. He also gave confusing and inconsistent answers about a mysterious overseas trip, initially suggesting it involved a war zone despite never having served in the military. After a classified briefing, Senator James Lankford indicated the trip was not classified at all but involved a nondisclosure agreement related to a whistleblower. Democrats accused Mullin of being deliberately misleading. Ranking Member Gary Peters was direct before the vote. “Throughout the nomination process, he has failed to be forthright and transparent. Senator Mullin also showed that he doesn’t have the experience or the temperament to lead this critical department.” Mullin’s confirmation now heads to the full Senate, where he is expected to pass next week.” open.substack.com/pub/reallyamer…

I’m not sure how many more Martin Scorsese films we have in the future. The fact Marty is still directing in his 80s something I can never take for granted. His longevity is something I cherish. I really believe late-stage Scorsese is some of the best filmmaking I’ve ever seen.

The US is lifting sanctions against Belarusian banks and potassium, according to US Special Envoy John Cole. This is outrageous! Trump rewards aggressors, mass murderers, and dictators while blackmailing and insulting the victim, Ukraine. According to Cole, the restrictions against the Belarusian Ministry of Finance, the Belarus Development Bank, and Belinvestbank will be lifted. Furthermore, the Belarusian Potash Company and Belaruskali, the main producers of potash fertilizers, will be removed from the US sanctions list. The US Special Envoy stated that the lifting of the restrictions would be swift and noted that he had discussed this matter with officials from the Ministry of Finance before his visit to Minsk.
