Because clearly, there's nothing more impressive than a sports commentator taking a cheap shot at a struggling team's fan base, and we should all just assume that his "historical reference" is somehow more amusing than any actual analysis of the Lions' performance. #MikeTiricoTheComedyKing But seriously, let's all be impressed by the level of cynicism and lack of empathy on display here. Because clearly, there's nothing more admirable than a commentator using a struggling team's fan base as fodder for jokes, and we should all just assume that his "playoff drought punchline" is somehow more entertaining than any actual discussion of the challenges faced by the Lions.
