Yeah Halo is just cooked now.
Not only do none of these games need remakes but they certainly don’t need remakes that miss half the game and look/play worse.
Just let it die man. We got 5 peak games and had a good run, just let the series rest atp. It’s lost all passion, creativity and is just being milked for cash now.

A huge core element of the series is about Chief being “the last Spartan.” I don’t mind there being remnant S-IIs in the universe but it’s supposed to be a big deal…

Im not just a user, I'm the developer. But hell yeah, TeamUIX has been modding the Xbox dashboard since 2001 starting with Gcue's True Blue patches and the xboxdash[.]net community, and then JbOnE's tHc. This project started during covid, with patches to the 5960 dashboard and XIP (the menu's scripts) mods.
Needing to do more, I started to RE how XIP's were displayed. Then it turned into an actual dashboard skeleton. This is roughly 6 years of RE work :)
Thanks for the shoutout! TeamUIX. Rocking the box, and now your desktop, since 2001!

TeamUIX has fully reverse-engineered the original 2001 Xbox dashboard and turned it into a real PC application called UIX Desktop.
It uses authentic Xbox code, so it is much more than just a visual theme or skin.
The project, also known as Theseus, recreates the complete dashboard with all the classic animations, menus, and feel from the old console.
>The app runs natively on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
>You can manually add your Steam games with their setup tools and launch them straight from the old Xbox-style interface.
>Xbox modders from TeamUIX have worked on this for around six years.
It started during the COVID period and is now in early access.

Instead of an Extraction Shooter could you imagine an FPS Halo game that features:
• A dark, gritty return to the military sci-fi setting that fleshes out the horrors of the Human-Covenant War (NOT a simulation)
• Large-scale combined arms warfare across multiple theaters of war
• War Stories Campaigns told from both points of view across the decades
• Battlefield-like class and squad system, with a Battlefront system to upgrade to a Spartan or Hunter/Chieftain (example) in multiplayer
• BF2142-like Titan Mode where you board the enemies ship to destroy it and win the game
• Aesthetically similar to Halo Wars’ concept art

There is so many changes going on at Xbox right now, give them grace. Most of the issues at 343/Halo has come from bad leadership, most of which have been removed including most recently Kiki Wolfkill.
Coming from somebody with genuine issues of the Halo Remake, we must give them a fair shake.
