BREAKING: Nysmith school defends their Hitler poster, citing the “ongoing conflict in Gaza.” What a slap in the face to our brave men and women who defeated the Nazis so that this DEI school can indoctrinate students.

The Nysmith School for the Gifted has reportedly expelled three Jewish siblings (11-year-old twin sisters & their 8-year-old brother) after their parents reported ongoing antisemitic harassment that included students bullying their children, praising Hitler & mocking Holocaust victims. Nysmith's headmaster allegedly told the parents their daughter should “toughen up” & then expelled all three children—an abject failure in character education, leadership & basic human decency.

The school being sued for allegedly bullying Jewish students just released a statement, choosing to double down rather than apologize. Especially over one class project…about Hitler. Ken Nysmith claims it wasn’t antisemitic because it was really a lesson on Machiavelli and leaders needing to act immorally on occasion, and Hitler was just one “example.” Let that sink in. Hitler was introduced to young children with "He did some good and he did some bad, but sometimes politicians need to do bad." That’s the defense. Do you see the problem?

Virginia legal complaint update - head of school Ken Nysmith (Nysmith School for the Gifted) has issued a statement, claiming things have been misconstrued and putting the blame on the Jewish family. We have no words.

Bombshell lawsuit out of Virginia - plaintiffs allege the Nysmith School for the Gifted & Kenneth Nysmith taught 11 year olds Hitler was a "strong historical leader". When a Jewish family complained, Nysmith told the kids to "toughen up" and expelled all three kids.

The anti-Semitic harassment and expulsions at Nysmith are bigger than one elite elementary school:

@SethAMandel I'm a Jewish Zionist parent of a child at Nysmith. There's more to the story and I'm siding with the school. The story takes many things out of context and completely ignores the parents' behavior (their behavior is why they got expelled from the school)

It is impossible to overstate what happened on the shores of Texas, or what’s happened for two decades in El Segundo, the little industrial town south of Los Angeles where SpaceX was born. In its infancy, the country was reeling from horror. Only months before SpaceX’s inception in March 2002, terrorists had flown commercial jets into two crown jewels of New York City engineering, murdering thousands.  While fire and ash were still on our minds and on our screens, a quirky man on the other coast was talking about rocket tests and making humans multiplanetary—as though he wasn’t watching the news along with the rest of us, but instead focused on the future. His dreams should have died the year after, when we watched more horror as the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated upon reentering Earth’s atmosphere over Texas, killing seven astronauts and hastening the end of the shuttle program for good.  It also could have ended America’s long-held obsession with reaching the stars. But 22 years later, that is not our fate. Failed rocket after failed rocket, critic after critic led to bigger and more calculated risks that in turn made @SpaceX the beacon for the best engineering minds in America—and the world.

@mcuban I'm glad Cuban finally outed himself and said the quiet part out loud. I was wondering why he was throwing his weight behind Kamala when it's clear he's smarter than that. He's doing it because he thinks she will be there for him when he needs something.

@thomasforth At least I can work on the electrics myself without throwing the mains. But seriously though, this is like saying "I know we have gas chambers, but at least the beer is good"

Some mocking replies suggesting my life is unliveable without air conditioning. "mostly cloudy, feels like 16ºC (61F)" is my midsummer life. The air requires no conditioning. My drink requires no ice. My eyes require no shade.

Don’t look now, but mikeroweWORKS is about to award $2.4 million in work ethic scholarships to 300 individuals who had the good sense to apply several months ago. That brings us over $11 million of scholarships to help train the next generation of skilled workers. ($11 million!!!) We’re currently contacting this year’s recipients via email, and when we’re finished, I’ll post their names on this page. For now, though, I’m sharing an official press release that should go out later today. I’d be grateful if you guys would share it. I’d be even more grateful if somebody would check it for typos. I’m told that mikeroweWORKS is now the leading scholarship fund of its kind, and that I am the “noisiest” advocate for educational alternatives to a 4-year degree. It would be tragic then, or at least embarrassing and possibly mortifying, for a man in my position to send out a grammatically suspect press release. Thanks, Mike

I have a stupid question. Why can't we pipe water from the great lakes to the places in the south and west struggling with water shortages? (e.g., We pipe oil everywhere!)

We seem utterly determined to learn absolutely nothing from the deadly lessons of the 20th century. This man was a mass murderer, who set my father & grandfather’s country on a path that it will likely never truly recover from. His brutality was admired by the other great murderers of the 20th century, & he set the tone for a century of unspeakable horrors. For shame.
Challenge Magazine@ChallengeYCL

Today, on the centenary of his death, we fondly remember Vladimir Lenin, the founder of the first socialist nation, leader of the Bolshevik Party, and architect of the October Revolution. (1/7)
