@slime_machine Had a yi the other day that admitted to buying a account bc he’s been watching jinxzy playing and wanted to give it a try.
It actually made me fume. I think bro went like 2/18

If this was a blind ballot and you only saw a campaign's backers, which side would you pick?
But this isn't a hypothetical.
On the left are Xavier Becerra's backers.
Tom Steyer's endorsements on the right.

Popstonox@Popstonox
Xavier Becerra, candidate for California Governor, has just received $500,000 from McDonald's to his Super PAC
English

This actually got my Tom vote.
Xavier getting donations from all these massive donations is a bit on the nose
TomHQ@TomHQ
PG&E has now donated $13,500,000 to oppose Tom Steyer. Steyer is promising to break up the utility monopolies to lower prices for Californians.

@kirbycat13 And yes they should know because the INE is a credential in which allows you to own property (bank account, land, card, ect). It’s like saying “should American even know what a ID/SS is?”
And zapata would be the equivalent of Mexico’s George Washington.
So yes, very basic
English

@enitelav What are you talking about? You’re just throwing out random goal posts. I’m sure there are people living in Mexico right now that don’t know shit about history or these random data points… nor should they? Why is it so hard to acknowledge that this answer isn’t black and white.
English

@Selatrop @valonsofr Did you know “el Pueblo” can be a vague word to describe a general area of where Mexicans or as well as a general term for the people? Pocho.
English

@enitelav @valonsofr Pueblo? 80-88% of Mexicans live in urban areas. Only pochos think Mexico is just a bunch of ranchos and pueblos scattered around.
English

@kirbycat13 You’re clearly in the unknown because these are all very common basic things that are taught in elementary school in Mexico.
Are you Mexican or another twitter user who talks for the trees?
English

@kirbycat13 They don’t even know the price of chips in Mexico, how tf are they close to the culture?
Most probably don’t even know what a INE is.
Majority of them don’t even know the name of Emilio zapata.
How can they claim to be as close as their parents when they don’t even know that?
English

@enitelav You’re comparing apples to oranges. People are saying is that simply being born in a place that doesn’t erase your ethnic background.
First gen Americans of any ethnicity very obviously are closely tied to their parents culture. It can get watered down the farther you go
English

@enitelav @valonsofr “but most don’t even know outside their Pueblo.”
Mexicans don’t even know anything outside their Pueblo lol
English

@kirbycat13 You’re right, but to use that a reasoning to why you are part of that culture is stupid.
White Americans love to talk about their “native” ancestry because “they are on the land” but we all know they have no cultural ties except the fact their grandparents were.
English

@valonsofr I’m sorry but saying fleeing is Mexican culture is purely incorrect. It’s is part of the Mexican American culture but most don’t even know outside their Pueblo.
Although that comparison is true, at the end of the day, they are both living in it having the same societal fears.
English

@enitelav You literally are. People fleeing Mexico because the state failed to provide for its people IS part of the mexican experience and culture. A tech worker in Monterrey is closer culturally to a coastal American than he is to a poor Oaxaca villager.
English

@mclalofuentes1 Perfectly said, I spent half my childhood in Mexico and still wouldn’t even consider myself as rooted as my family out there because at the end of the day. My home is in the US and my ID will say American, but nothing is stronger than the Mexican in my blood.
English

@enitelav I still don`t fully get it. If you are Mexican American you can be proud of your Mexican heritage and embrace the culture as much as you want. But if you didn`t grow up in Mexico…You are not Mexican. Plain and simple. You are Mexican American and that itself is wonderful.
English

@PilotJonesV They literally had spain and Columbia flags on their socials. Yall on dick
English

Is there a SINGULAR person involved in this who isn't Mexican?
