Truly sorry to hear of Bob Kerslake's passing. He was a great champion of fairness and equity - and few did more to push the devolution agenda. I was lucky enough to work with him over a number of years and he was always a wise and willing ear to consult. May he rest in peace.

So sad that Lord Kerslake, a wonderful public servant, has died. I was privileged to have worked with Bob as a Minister when he was Perm Sec of the Communities & Local Govt Dept. He was highly effective in making big innovations - such as the NPPF and Metro Mayoralties - happen.
