@MartinSLewis You have to be on a very high income to be putting away £20k or more a year. It’s a tax break for the rich. £5k is enough in my opinion

Today's Poll: Should the cash ISA allowance be cut? The Chancellor is rumoured to be cutting the tax free savings allowance from the current £20,000 PER TAX YEAR. What's CLOSEST to what you'd say is a fair limit balancing benefit to savers v cost to state?

If that's how it all plays out then, absolutely... hardly seems necessary but he's not one to spare the dramatics
All Out Boxing@OutBoxing_

@undefeated_pod He’s clearly retired to get offered more for the fight. Now they have to pay him more to get him out of retirement. Smart move to be honest.

Niall McNamee was scrolling through his phone on the Ldn Underground when a thief on the platform snatched it from his hand just as the doors closed. Two days later the 30-yr-old discovered his bank accounts had been drained by about £21,000 - including a £7,000 loan.

Louise Haigh resigns immediately for a spent conviction Reform MP James McMurdock was jailed for repeatedly kicking his former girlfriend & Farage stands by him As for the Tories, IF they resign it’s because they’re dragged kicking & screaming & then reappointed later

When he pulled back he put his index finger into the bottom open part of the rubber band allowing it to come out on the other side. Then at the end he just pushes up and down with his thumb and index finger on the band she is holding. It's hard to notice the rubber band has already "gone through". (youtube.com/shorts/i2I6CJ_…)

So, this afternoon I got home to find a lovely letter from @northernassist telling me about how they wanted to prosecute me for using the below ticket to travel on the specified route at a peak time. I paid £1.90 less than the fare they say I should have paid. A thread 🧵

I think it's due to age and sex. Facebook is probably more people over 30, disgruntled parents and pensioners. Threads are 20 to 35, and Instagram is more fasion orientated. Twitter is very political on both sides, so I guess it's just that the general mood. labour only got 30% of the vote, so they would get 70% negative bias.

What's fascinating about this vote is the HUGE variance across platforms (exact same wording used). Currently Twitter: YES 40%, NO 60% Threads: YES 78%, NO 22% Facebook: YES 12%, NO 88%

The Tories left behind a broken Britain. But for the super-rich it's not been a crisis, it's been boom time. Total wealth of UK billionaires ▪️2013: £246 Bn ▪️2023: £684 Bn So they should now pay for the rebuilding of our society. That means a wealth tax on the super-rich.

@Beno_ldn TR didn’t show any signs of fear. He stood by his conviction, strong & proud. Spray was just repeating the same shit line! Tommy has a movement behind him, exposing a serious issue. English culture is under attack & we can no longer be overtly proud to be a British Christian.
