@DesignLvLUp I saw a thread somewhere of a tools engineer saying there was no need for bsp since the modeling tools released, so I wouldn’t expect any updates. The modeling tools are great and have some cool features once you get used to them but are still way slower than BSP and prefabs.

Can someone please optimize BSP in Unreal? I still prefer to use BSP over meshes, but it has been so clunky for so many years now. Takes seconds to update, jumps off grid, etc. There are tons of QOL improvements I can write up.

Got hit by the layoffs at Respawn. 11 years as a level designer without one, I guess that’s something. In 2020, I set a goal to lead a full map. That became E-District, and I’m proud of what we built. No clue what’s next, but yeah, open to new gigs.

I was a part of the layoffs at Respawn. I am looking for senior to mid-level; level designer roles. I have led map content from concept to ship, I have shipped many seasons of content from concept to ship, I have led prototyping mechanics with engineering, I have done rapid map prototyping, helped mentor artists, and give demonstrations on what is needed/expected for gameplay, and so on. Although this sucks and is going to make things much harder than what they already are. I want to thank the team. They have been some of the best people I've worked with in my career, inside and outside of the industry. If you have any leads or can get me in touch with someone, please do.
