The woman i wanted to buy vegetables from said she doesn't accept transfer. I wanted to pay 5,700naira.
I was about leaving to withdraw so I could pay her. She called me back and said she does POS. I told her I don't have my card with me and I'll still have to transfer. She said she accepts transfer for POS and not for her goods because they are two different businesses. She owns both. So I'll patronise her in two ways. It felt like cheating. I just left the sliced vegetable and left her stall.

We're about to raise over 38M for a guy who lives comfortably, never worries about his next meal, uses the latest gadgets in a country where there's hunger and starvation, to do what? Not to save life but to fix his personal insecurity.
The concern isn’t about whether he deserves support or not. it’s about how the message is being communicated yesterday. I believe there would be far less backlash if either Sir Dickson or Baddy clearly broke things down.
For example: if the total cost of the second surgery is 19 million naira, and Baddy has already been able to raise or save 3–5 million, then the public can be asked to help cover the remaining balance.
That kind of transparency would make a big difference.

Go round the barracks, you'd see that civilian mechanics are accommodated in them because of the old and worn out Hilux Vehicles the military are using.
You could write a letter requesting for new sets of Hilux vehicles for operations and they'll strike it off from Abuja, or even present it, get the money and pocket it.
There are few new and operational vehicles in most military bases across Nigeria.
But in every National Budget, there's always provision for new vehicles for politicians.

This is the last thing I’ll say on tribe and politics this month. This narrative is deeply dishonest and unnecessarily triggering. Hausa voters largely backed Buhari because he's their baba, many Yorubas supported Tinubu, and even then the Yoruba vote was split, with a significant number of Yoruba youths choosing Obi. Igbos also gave a strong majority of their votes to Obi. Ask the average Igbo person on the street why they support Obi and you’ll often hear that he’s their own, their person deserves to lead, same goes for Hausa towards Buhari and that’s completely VALID. The truth is, many Nigerians tend to support candidates from their own tribe, even when it doesn’t directly benefit them. So singling out Yorubas for something that cuts across all groups is unfair! This tendency toward tribal loyalty is widespread and pretending otherwise is hypocritical

Can you see the dates on these articles? Merger talk started in 2006. Tinubu didn't go to the Senate because he needed to build the ACN for the future merger. The APC you see today started 20 years ago. Tinubu is the king of the long game.

We have to fix our judiciary to ensure that criminals and people who act wrongly, especially knowingly, are properly punished.
Let me share a story.
Sequel to repeated requests by a dealer in Abuja to sell our vehicles, I entrusted about a dozen Nord vehicles to him. This dealer went ahead to sell one of the vehicles without our knowledge and without remitting the proceeds to us. A brand new 55 million NGN bus.
I reported the matter to the Police. I was advised to take it to court and obtain an order for recovery, as they know the dealer well, and he is well known to them for these scams. They expected he would offer to pay in instalments and then habitually default.
As advised, I filed the case in November 2024. Since then, his lawyer has continued to employ different delay tactics, which, sadly, are working.
Last year, another dealer attempted the same thing. This time, I involved the Police directly, and the vehicle was recovered immediately.
We cannot keep watching people steal and defame others, and simply tell those wronged to go to court for only civil recourse when there are clear criminal elements involved.
We have to fix the judiciary. Let’s ensure cases reach judgment faster, and delay tactics are severely punished. We have to encourage good behaviour and discourage bad ones.
People with poor character are exploiting our judiciary.
