BUILDING IN PUBLIC | DATA SCIENCE JOURNEY - part 4 (final) TS Academy Good day #Datafam This is where everything comes together. After EDA, cleaning, and feature engineering, it was finally time to scale and build the model. WHY I SCALED THE FEATURES; #DataScience

BUILDING IN PUBLIC | DATA SCIENCE - part 3 Good morning #Datafam, After cleaning the data, most people jump straight to modeling, i didn't. Because raw features don't always tell the full story a model needs to hear. Today’s update is on Feature Engineering. #ML

@billymandum @jonaniksgiggle Please stop sneaking in “boxing” like we won’t notice lol. That’s the bottom barrel of them all. kB has a case any day any time. MMA is a combination of every combat act, it takes nothing away from you whatsoever your base is, you’re free to show its dominance unlike boxing.

@jonaniksgiggle So mma is not its own sport then, if it is then the specialists of that sport should have no issues stopping a non specialist. Or do mma specialists not exist? If thats the case then kickboxing & boxing are far more difficult to be successful in.

A specialist kickboxer like Pereira doing well in an open ruleset like MMA is not comparable to a specialist like Verhoeven doing well in an even more specialised ruleset like boxing. One instance is expanding their weaponry, whilst the other is limiting it.

@MattAA777 @jonaniksgiggle That’s if he’s facing a grappler, but what you’d never take away from him is that he has the chance to do whatever he knows best,to secure a win. Meanwhile, boxing takes all of that skill away & limits it to just boxing, meanwhile someone who claims to be a prof. Still struggles.

@jonaniksgiggle Threat of grappling obviously limits Pereiras weaponry. I get the idea behind your post but the comparison doesnt totally track

@epitomOG @Aurelien_Auteur @pumpinuhard World no 1, pound for pound winning by a fluke? Sure bud. Nobody needs to do any convincing. Usyk had his hand raise, end of story. You can cry all you want, nothings going to change, and if there's a rematch... it will end way sooner for Big Old Wobbly Legs

@epitomOG He’s jumped in and stopped the fight because he felt Rico was taking too much punishment in that moment and it’s as simple as that.

@SteveBoxman He hasn’t heard the bell, so what decision is he making when the round already ended, isn’t the fighters supposed to be taking a break and get back to r12

He hasn’t heard the bell and made his decision to jump in and stop it at that moment. Yes I’d like to have seen it being allowed to continue as I feel Usyk would have stopped him in the 12th anyway but it’s not a terrible stoppage to jump in when a fighter is taking punishment like that after already being knocked down.

@SteveBoxman Stopping a fight after the bell is as good as knowing he was counting punches that landed after the bell, It’s not justifiable in this case even for a split second late.

The referee didn’t hear the bell, Peter Fury has already confirmed he had that conversation with him and said that he didn’t hear the bell either. The ref has simply made the call in the moment as Rico was under fire after just being dropped. I highly doubt 1 min would have changed anything, Usyk would have been all over him again.

@SteveBoxman Yes even a single second changes a lot of things, that’s why the breaks are there for you recharge and get back in and make a difference. It is not in anybody’s place to that away from a fighter, in the disguise that you’re saying him, when he clearly is still on his feet.

@SteveBoxman The stoppage definitely a robbery, it was a bail opportunity for the Boxing world. Moreover he made that decision after the bell still. Rico already made it through the round on his feet, he was even surprised the ref ended it, cos Rico was obviously waiting for the last second.

@epitomOG With that knockdown in the 11th he was, maybe that would have been the real robbery had Rico survived the 12th without at least another knockdown but the stoppage certainly wasn’t.

@epitomOG No rules were modified it was two different referees and they make the call in the heat of the moment, there was nothing rigged about it. Usyk was winning that fight either by stoppage in the 12th or on the cards.

@SteveBoxman There’s no way he was up on the cards lol, the organization was saving face, they knew if he’ll they did that on a decision it would have been more shameful, good thing is, it turned out to be even more shameful and disgusting.

It’s nothing about saving the day for Usyk as he was actually up on the cards and looking at that would likely have stopped him in the next round anyway. He’s made the decision in the moment as again Rico was taking a flurry of punches in the corner and was unable to answer back after just being dropped.

We call KDB the goat for having 315 assists. How did Messi end up with 412 assists and 911 goals. 😭

@SteveBoxman If the ref decided to modify the rules based on who’s fighting who, then you’re admittedly saying the Ref rigged the outcome. He chose the only point Usyk got to capitalize on, cos he was afraid Usyk may not get such opportunity in the fight again, since he was being schooled.

@epitomOG Rules don’t change, the ref on that night chose not to stop it but many believe he should have and I don’t anyone would have complained had he done so. As a ref you make your decision based on the fighters safety.

@SteveBoxman I have seen fighters stagger for several rounds and still go back to the ring in the subsequent rounds. So y’all should quit making a KD look like life sentence, if Usyk was so sure of himself, why rush him to victory and not let him genuinely get a KO in r12.

He wasn’t officially ahead on the points though was he? And no not me but that’s for the ref to decide and he made his decision that it was enough punishment for him. If those punches were so weak Rico would have fired back and got himself out of there or maybe he just didn’t have enough left after the knockdown and staggering to get his gumshield back in.

@_Forplayer_ @Aurelien_Auteur @pumpinuhard Looks like a knockdown is a big deal for y’all, it’s a regular day in combat sport. Unless maybe you’re really not a fan of combat sports, otherwise there’s nothing special about a KD,it happens everyday & even more regular in MMA & Kickboxing. It’s not the joke you think it is.

@SteveBoxman Oh now the rules changes overnight. It’s simple Rico was robbed, because he was leading the fight. As a ref you don’t just make emotional decisions like dis in the case where the fight is clearly winning and has survived the round already.

@SteveBoxman You don’t decide how a fighter feels a punch when he hasn’t given up yet, not when he’s been ahead with the points. There’s nothing extraordinary about those punches, so quit making it sound like those punches were heavy except for the kd,the rest are regular weak punches.

@epitomOG The ref is seeing a man that was dropped, staggering to his corner and being pounded on in the corner without being able to fire back and he’s made the call, we’ve seen far far worse stoppages than that.

@epitomOG @Aurelien_Auteur @pumpinuhard Yes and this are your opinions, and guess who's opinions matter the most? The Officials who oversaw this fight!!! The right call was made, nothing will change that. And yeah im kinda pissed we didn't get to see Usyk fold Rico in the 12th round again
