These trashy monarchists posted up at the entrance of my talk to protest and harass me. I might have just ignored them under normal circumstances, but I had just spent the week in the rubble of homes of ordinary Iranians who they lobbied my government to bomb. In the ruins of one destroyed Tehran apartment where an entire family of 12 was slaughtered in a US strike, I found clothes belonging to young children about the same age as mine. So it was impossible to pass by these accessories to murder without venting my disgust at them. Actually, the whole experience was cathartic. It is hard to put into words the extreme sadness, frustration, and anger so many of us are feeling with respect to an alleged group attack on a Muslim woman in front of her 7-year-old child and others in Moncton, New Brunswick. While trying to enjoy a car parade inside a parking lot, the family were allegedly accosted by a group that yelled obscenities at them, including phrases like “Go back to your country." Moments after, the group then allegedly beat the Muslim women in front of her son, while her husband was some distance away. He said he found her later on with a swollen face and bloody nose, along with other sign of an alleged assault. This is a horrifying ordeal and the authorities have been alerted. We are in touch with all parties and urge authorities to investigate all angles of this incident, including hate motivations. Meanwhile, we urge all elected officials in Atlantic Canada and beyond to denounce the rise in Islamophobia across Canada, and to meet with community members. We will have more to say as the situation evolves.

An Israeli tourist in Bangkok says she was waiting at her table for her meal when she noticed a sign saying "No Israel tourist." She called for staff and offered to pay for her drink, but would like to cancel her food order. The manager came, all smiles and hospitality, and tried to convince her to stay. Finally, she admitted that she was leaving because of the sign on the door. The smiles disappeared. He asked her if she was Israeli, and when she confirmed, he began shouting. She said he demanded she pay an exorbitant price for her can of coke as he got closer in order to intimidate the woman who just wanted some food. In an instant, her humanity was stripped from her because of the location she was born. That's the reality Israelis have to face: you tell us to get out of Israel and, when we do, you make sure we know we aren't welcome.

I have zero tolerance for antisemitism. I was walking in downtown Toronto when I saw a loud-mouthed jihadi, who covered his face, holding a filthy sign that read: “The Holocaust was in Germany. Why does Palestine have to pay for it?” He was also ranting that Israel should be in Germany and, with an annoying voice, repeating that Jews should go back to Germany while he had sound blockers on his ears. I proved what a coward he was. Toronto police showed up and tried to stop me — they couldn’t. Since I was totally peaceful, respecting everyone’s personal space, and did not break any law, the police officer did not dare to arrest me. When two more Hamas sympathizers jumped in, threatened me in Arabic, and pointed fingers like Abu Obaida, the neutralized spokesman of Hamas, at me, I just laughed in their faces. They miserably failed to intimidate me. The Hamas sympathizers accused me of touching them. I responded: I don’t want to make myself dirty. I don't touch you. - What do you want? - I'm going to shame you! - Who are you serving? 🤡 - I’m serving Canadians. 😎 I never stand silent in front of antisemitism or bullies. Wherever and whenever you see antisemitism, stand up against it. We should have learned the lesson from history: the jihadists go after Jews first — then they come after the rest of us.
