@ChandrikaCC twitter.com/realDonaldTrFa… This account is a trump parody account. In this tweet they are talking about the recession that the United States is in. If I were trump or someone on his team I would try to have the account removed or just ignore. #Response #MUCrisisComm
Donald J. Trump ........................... ᵖᵃʳᵒᵈʸ@realDonaldTrFan

Just heard that the USA is officialy in a BIG Recession - BIGGER THAN ANYONE THOUGHT POSSIBLE! And EVERYONE is naming it after ME! #TrumpRecession! Your Welcome!

@BryantAnaclaire @ChandrikaCC Hey Anaclaire! This was a really interesting crisis! I think it was also very honest and he acknowledged the problem by being honest and has a plan for making the restaurant better.

@mrfn2p @ChandrikaCC Hey Maddie! I think this is a good example of an oil crisis and how it should be handled. There was a lot of honesty but also still stating facts and thoughts.

@CallieMCox1 @ChandrikaCC Hey Callie. I really like your post! I also chose Coombs theory because it breaks down the crisis is different ways to really help combat the crisis.

@ChandrikaCC Both authors have applicable strategies for image repair, but I find Coombs to be more relevant & useful. Coombs discusses SCCT which breaks down levels of responsibility & reputation threats which can benefit orgs greatly amidst a crisis. #CrisisImage #MUCrisisComm

@HannahMU31 @ChandrikaCC Hey Hannah! I agree with what you said. I also picked Coombs method because of the strategies that his theory includes.

@ChandrikaCC I believe that Coombs theory the "Situational Crisis Communication Theory" is more useful because it can help find out what and how people will respond to a crisis so you can get ahead of it correctly. #CrisisImage #MUCrisisComm

@mncvdq @ChandrikaCC Hey Mia! I really like this one! I agree that not all overweight people are slackers. This can make people with medical issues feel uncomfortable or unaccepted. Changing just the wording can do so much difference!

@ChandrikaCC A stigmatized message can be seen on this newspaper cover. It is an aspect of the obesity epidemic and can be seen as a stigma because not everyone who is overweight is a slacker. #StigmaMessage #MUCrisisComm

@HannahMU31 @ChandrikaCC Hey Hannah! This is a really good example that I would never have thought of. They should definitely include some resources like day cares or programs for young parents to help them feel more at ease.

@ChandrikaCC My stigmatizing message is this picture of someone saying "just try harder" that has to do with the mental health crisis. This is considered stigma because this can make someone experience more pain and avoidance. #StigmaMessage #MUCrisisComm

@mncvdq Hey Mia! I think that in a situation like this it is extremely important to have all of the correct details because who knows what could happen next so having the audience as informed as possible is crucial.

This article is be right because it states information that is known, unknown, and what is being done to keep the community informed about the situation. For example, after investigating the situation, investigators discovered that the explosion could have been a suicide attempt

@CallieMCox1 @ChandrikaCC Hey Callie! I agree with you about having to have all of the correct details in this story. I also feel like there is a sense of urgency within this story as well because of the seriousness of the explosions.

@mrfn2p @ChandrikaCC Hi Maddie! I think that PR is so interesting. Especially because of its heavy use of media. Having a background and experience in the field is super beneficial to not only you but your audience as well.

@ChandrikaCC Out of Sandman's four types of risk communication, I would choose Public Relations because I am PR chair for an org and have experience handling mass media. I also enjoy using media to inform people of events to whatever is going on #Reaction1

@sra4d2 @ChandrikaCC Hey Shelby! I also chose Stakeholder Relations because of the audience. Having to explain the issues yourself is super beneficial to your communication and the understanding of the crisis to the audience.

@ChandrikaCC Of Sandman's four types of risk communication, I choose to be in charge of stakeholder relations which is moderate hazard and outrage. I chose this because it relies on interpersonal dialogue and the audience wants to hear what you have to say. #Reaction1

@Ann2bg @ChandrikaCC Hey Angel! I also mentioned something about how a crisis is almost unavoidable for organizations. Having a way to handle crises is best to gain back the trust of the public.

@ChandrikaCC Crisis response is the most relevant factor today bc as much as one org can prepare, they will eventually face a crisis. Regaining public trust is what matters. Ex: J&J creating their talc powder info site after facing cancer lawsuits #CriticalFactor #MUCrisisComm

@ChandrikaCC crisis response factor is the most relevant today because just about every organization goes through a crisis so having a way of resolving and responding to the crisis is important for the future of the organization #CriticalFactor #MUCrisisComm
