@eqbqyd @ChandrikaCC I agree, I would want the account removed. I’d make a statement claiming that this account is faulty. If the tweet became popular, it could spark a lot of debate and confusion.

@ChandrikaCC twitter.com/realDonaldTrFa… This account is a trump parody account. In this tweet they are talking about the recession that the United States is in. If I were trump or someone on his team I would try to have the account removed or just ignore. #Response #MUCrisisComm
Donald J. Trump ........................... ᵖᵃʳᵒᵈʸ@realDonaldTrFan

Just heard that the USA is officialy in a BIG Recession - BIGGER THAN ANYONE THOUGHT POSSIBLE! And EVERYONE is naming it after ME! #TrumpRecession! Your Welcome!

@TheChristian888 @ChandrikaCC I agree, I would disassociate with this account. Making jokes about the ongoing conflict does not convey a positive image. This can have a negative impact on others.

I would respond to this by stating our posts shouldn’t be taken seriously & that we are considering taking the account down. A post like this can be interrupted differently, putting the show and company at risk. #Response #MUCrisisComm

@Hollyn2qc @ChandrikaCC This is a great demonstration of empathy. The spokesperson does a great job of expressing what he believes in and emphasizing how devastating it is for those suffering all over the world.

@mrfn2p @ChandrikaCC I agree that this is a great example of the organization acknowledging its current situation. The spokesman did a good job in informing the public about the issue.

@mhw4bc @ChandrikaCC This is a great example. It has an easy-to-read list of action steps. It's important to let the kids know that it's okay to be scared. This will help to avoid chaos and will give the children a better understanding of what may occur.

@CallieMCox1 @ChandrikaCC This is a great example. It presents information in an easily understandable way and gets right to the point. Having a precise message that instructs people on how to be safe is critical in times of disaster.

March is Tornado Preparedness Month! Remember... ⚠️A Tornado Watch means stay alert and tuned in for weather alerts. Tornadoes are possible so know where to shelter if needed 🌪️A Tornado Warning means take action and seek shelter immediately! A tornado is happening or imminent

@EmilyMIZ22 @chandrikac I found Coombs Situational Crisis Communication Theory to be more useful as well. When an organization has a strategy, it makes it easier to respond to the crisis. Protecting one’s reputation can help significantly in the future.

@ChandrikaC I would find Coombs Situational Crisis Communication Theory to be more useful. This theory describes how the stakeholders respond to a crisis which allows the organization to form a strategy that protects their assets and reputation. #CrisisImage #MUCrisisComm

@Ann2bg @ChandrikaCC I agree that Coombs theory is more helpful. Keeping a reputation in mind is an important point in the middle of a crisis. Without that, it may be a challenge to repair ones image.

@ChandrikaCC I found Coombs (2007) article to be more helpful because it takes into account attribution theory, & reputational threat, which inform stakeholder perceptions of crises. This is crucial to interpreting the best way to go about image repair. #CrisisImage #MUCrisisComm

@ChandrikaCC I’d go with Coombs’ notion of crisis image repair. I think it takes a more comprehensive approach. The situational crisis communication theory uses 3 primary aspects to create a successful perspective on how to respond to a crisis.

@mhw4bc I agree that it encourages misunderstanding. A person’s mental illness should not imply that they are psychotic. Telling someone that can actually have a negative emotional impact on them.

@eqbqyd @ChandrikaCC I agree with you. Telling someone to “just try harder” isn’t going to help them. It can also make someone believe that they aren’t giving it their all or putting in enough effort when they are.

@ChandrikaCC My stigmatizing message is this picture of someone saying "just try harder" that has to do with the mental health crisis. This is considered stigma because this can make someone experience more pain and avoidance. #StigmaMessage #MUCrisisComm

@ChandrikaCC A stigmatized message can be seen on this newspaper cover. It is an aspect of the obesity epidemic and can be seen as a stigma because not everyone who is overweight is a slacker. #StigmaMessage #MUCrisisComm

@mrfn2p I think that taking action is a great way to prevent future hacking incidents. Customers will be better able to respond to the situation if they are made aware of what transpired and are reminded not to give out sensitive information.

@CallieMCox1 @ChandrikaCC In a circumstance like that, I agree that having the most up-to-date information is crucial. In an event that leads to more extreme situations, the consequences can be considerably worse.
