I always loved this photo of WIND IN HER HAIR's granddam, HIGHCLERE returning to the winner’s enclosure after her 1000 Guineas victory - one can almost see, from the expressions of delight on the faces of the onlookers, that H. M. The Queen is approaching to lead her in! Gosh .. it was only 52 years ago!
