Do a scenario analysis, Akshay. Let your trading data tell you what the right approach is. To do this is to create different scenarios. For example, what if your stop loss was 2.5%, 3%, or 4%? Would the improvement in your win rate be significant enough to compensate for the smaller position size or the higher risk? Then do the opposite. What if your stop loss was 1.5% or even 1%? How much does your win rate drop? Does the larger position size on winners, or the reduced risk per trade, more than compensate for that decline? We use many such scenario analyses and exercises in @tradetm_org. The best way to learn and improve your approach is to let your own trading data tell you what to do, rather than relying on either your opinion or mine.

It's not reversal pivots vs flags. It's more about base trades vs expansion trades. I've taken only a handful of base trades (BHEL, ADANIPOWER, BSE, TDPOWER, etc.), mostly in previous leaders. Expansion trades got priority because the index itself is in expansion. Ideally, our trades should be ahead of the price cycle, or at least move in sync with it. @ujwal_kr this is my feeling too. For instance, Even I knew Defense and other themes (wires/pharma) was strong. I kept tracking Paras for good/tight sl entry. Mila hi nahi mauka. I avoided buying smallar tF par because of many squats in past few days!

The utmost priority for swing should be to position the money in strongest sectors. Even if the setup is 4 star, prefer that above lone warrior 5 star setups. A rising tide lifts up everyone.

Didn't get much traction today. SL hit in Supriya. 🤬 Tried Thangamayil seeing other gold names do well but SL in that as well . Tata Comm struggling and testing my patience. Breakeven on other intraday trades nothing notable. Added Chennai Petro as day end entry. Diacabs added to positional PF.
