Do a scenario analysis, Akshay. Let your trading data tell you what the right approach is. To do this is to create different scenarios. For example, what if your stop loss was 2.5%, 3%, or 4%? Would the improvement in your win rate be significant enough to compensate for the smaller position size or the higher risk? Then do the opposite. What if your stop loss was 1.5% or even 1%? How much does your win rate drop? Does the larger position size on winners, or the reduced risk per trade, more than compensate for that decline? We use many such scenario analyses and exercises in @tradetm_org. The best way to learn and improve your approach is to let your own trading data tell you what to do, rather than relying on either your opinion or mine.

@VasuBhadja @swing_ka_sultan This is brilliant stuff Vasu, much needed as none of the tradejournal guys have built.. I am not sure if in "Insights" Section You can provide some recommendations based on the trading performance, as what should be the optimal SL, If SL % was increased by x% what would be ROAR

I've always seen @VasuBhadja as highly intelligent and incredibly promising. He consistently comes up with thoughtful ideas that challenge you to think more deeply, while always being respectful in his discussions. A few days ago, he shared a new journaling app he has been building, which automatically calculates many of the parameters we use in our feedback loops. He was kind enough to offer me the first opportunity to test it. I request all of you to take a look at his app. I genuinely believe he's building something exceptional. It is still a work in progress, so do give him the space to refine it further and continue adding features over time. Over the last few months, we've seen several incredible tools emerge from Indian creators that are comparable to many expensive international alternatives. It's genuinely heartening to see the ecosystem evolve, with better tools making traders' lives easier and more efficient.

@swing_ka_sultan Anyone who is interested in calculating the MAE, MFE, Optimal Stop Loss for all their trades at a single click by simply uploading the tradebook. If you are using any other broker except Zerodha, Angelone, Fyers. DM me a sample tradebook, I can add that. edgejournal.duckdns.org

One habit I often see among traders is that they put themselves down a lot. They make jokes and memes about their own failures, abilities, and potential. Never do that. I haven't met a single high achiever who constantly talks negatively about themselves, not even as a joke. In fact, many of them are absolutely delusional about what they believe they can achieve. Be delusional about yourself. Be delusional about your goals. Set standards for yourself that seem unreasonable to others. Refuse to accept mediocrity as your natural ceiling. You'll often go much further than you would have if you had started with a usual belief about yourself.
Chhirag Kedia@swing_ka_sultan

Weaker minds whine about situations. The worst blame the market, operators, and everything else. The second worst blame themselves. Leaders do neither. They don't wait for the situation to improve. They ask, "What can I do in this situation itself?" They adapt, find what is still working, and make the best of the environment they have, not the one they wish they had.

These were the top trades on my #Reversals Watchlist today. #IOLCP was the best of the pack, but didn't give me an entry. However, since this was intended to be a holding trade, I'll look to reattempt it tomorrow as a #WickPlay setup. Both #BAJAJCONS and #MSTCLTD were weaker candidates and were considered primarily from an intraday perspective. While I'm less interested in #BAJAJCONS from here, I can still look to reattempt #MSTCLTD tomorrow as a #WickPlay. The rest will depend on how the final trading list comes out after scanning and shortlisting.

2 days back, I visualized a reversal on PWL. It was in momentum, and the sell-off was not slow. Bought on a reversal; it was risk-free instantly. (Got out at cost today). Reversals are the best setups for getting risk-free fast like EPs. Thank you, @swing_ka_sultan and @Anuragg_CA, for helping me add this setup to my arsenal. Invaluable in such choppy markets.

@swing_ka_sultan I have removed these exciting but low-liquidity names from the watchlist itself. These stocks are like a girl who is 10/10, but she is not from your caste; hence, arranged marriage is not possible. 🤣😂

@swing_ka_sultan I think it ran 4% in the first minute itself (Hence leaving only 1.5-2% Open Gain at closing if bought). Even if we had taken the ORB, we would have gotten stopped out at 1.5% SL. Some things happen for good 😉😜

STOP GIVING BACK PROFITS ON YOUR WINNING TRADES (MASTERCLASS) You didn't lose on a bad trade. You lost on a good one. Getting stopped out isn't the problem. Watching a winner build, then quietly giving it all back, is the actual leak in most trading systems. If you've felt this the past few sessions, it's not bad luck. It's a missing rule. We recorded one of our most detailed live sessions yet, going bar by bar through how to actually navigate a choppy market. Not theory. The real decision-making framework: when to enter, when to hold, when to raise a stop, when to let go. Built so you can take it and apply it directly to your own trading, not just watch it happen to someone else. Watch here: youtu.be/TYYPjlr--M4

@Swiing_Sense Don't wait for too much tightness in high momentum stocks. Yes in current market EP is preferable over any other setup. But today there were no good EPs available expect Jio Financial, that too did not move after opening.

@VasuBhadja Bro, when i check on dhan, they don't provide intraday or MTF on the bliss, also the premier energy in my opinion needs to tighten a little more. Right now stocks are squatting, better to focus on IPO's and EP.

Yes Rohan it is the most overlooked metric in trading. I myself suffer a lot from slippage. So this feature is already present in the journal, you can add the trigger price here, the difference between trigger and executed price will be calculated as slippage. You can also add the trades via a tradebook, and then once the trades are imported, just go and edit this field.

@VasuBhadja @swing_ka_sultan Nice work Vasu. Can I request you to add the impact of slippage on the trades? I know the tradebook won't give this detail, but most traders underestimate the impact of slippage on net profit. Maybe traders can manually add the ideal exit which can be compared to executed price.
