Confirmed, the first Revolut flagship store will open in Barcelona. "Revolut Store", not a bank branch, will open its doors at the end of this year or the beginning of 2027. The store will employ over 20 people and have large premises with a similar feel to an Apple Store, located near Plaça Catalunya. "We chose Barcelona because it has always been our testing ground. It’s an innovative city where we can find both local and international customers," said Antoine Le Nel, Revolut CMO, who also lives in Barcelona. At the Revolut Store, customers will be able to receive advice on services and enjoy brand-related experiences. "It's an initiative intended to be permanent, and we plan to replicate it in other locations if it's well received," said Antoine. Also, Revolut will relocate its global innovation hub to the building at the intersection of Avenida Diagonal and Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona. The company employs over 700 in Barcelona, but the number is set to rise to 1,000 over the next two years. In Madrid, the company is also relocating to new offices and expects the employee count to grow from 400 to 900. "AI helps us improve efficiency, but we are growing so much that we need more staff," said Revolut. In January 2024, for the first time, CEO Nik Storonsky hinted at Revolut stores/ ranches.
