@KevinaFaga @MichelleMaxwell But the "Cadillac" tax was repealed in 2019 before it ever went into effect. So that sounds like it was on your employer getting ahead of themselves

@MichelleMaxwell Me. Obamacare labeled my excellent employer provided insurance a "Cadillac" plan and forced them to get rid of it. That was the final straw with me and the Democrats.

This information is available to the entire🌎 The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act or SAVE America Act (H.R. 7296, 119th Congress) was introduced in the House of Representatives on January 30, 2026, by Representative Chip Roy and referred to the House Committee on House Administration where it remains pending with status Introduced (congress.gov/bill/119th-con…). If the Act passes and becomes law, a United States citizen already registered to vote does not need to re-register or update their registration if divorced and their last name changes; no action is required under the Act and any name mismatch will not matter under the Act. The Act amends Section 4(b) of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (52 U.S.C. § 20503(b)) to provide that under any method of voter registration in a State, the State shall not accept and process an application to register to vote in an election for Federal office unless the applicant presents documentary proof of United States citizenship with the application. Section 2(q) of H.R. 7296 (page 23) specifies that these amendments take effect on the date of enactment and shall apply with respect to applications for voter registration which are submitted on or after such date and contains no requirement for re-registration of persons already on the voter rolls. This enforces the prohibition against noncitizen voting in Federal elections (18 U.S.C. § 611) and is authorized by Article I, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. (congress.gov/119/bills/hr72…)

Here's my take. If you're too stupid to get an ID, you're too stupid to choose my nation's leaders.

@joerussotweets Here's the thing, it's not, but it also doesn't cost me $134 for my family of four to watch something. Thats just the ticket price, with nothing on top of it. IMAX is great, but it's a couple of times a year type expense at that price.

@SpookdBlog US oil companies sell gas globally. If the price of gas goes up globally and they aren't going to miss out on that profit. If other countries are more profitable they ship more oil overseas to make more money, which then reduces the amount of oil here and raises prices.

Gas prices are rising rapidly, “because of the war” In reality, there is NO shortage in the US since we make our own gas from oil we drill in the US In effect, oil companies are gouging US consumers Trump needs to penalize the oil companies for this criminal activity.

@AndrewBrandt The asking price was the asking price, from the beginning they said they weren't going to trade him away unless they get significant compensation. Why would they have a fire sale now when they have the cap space to keep him?

@toddbolling @plzbigblue @AdamSchefter Our current GM has only had one 1st round pick. It was Jeanty, everything before that is irrelevant. So not much to go off of. This move could determine Spyteck's job.

ESPN sources: the Raiders agreed to trade five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two 1s back to Vegas.

@DvdDad2049 @BottleneckNYC @miguelisem_ Ive bought prints that lived in a tube for 1-2 years and have been trying to get them to flatten out for 5+ years. It can be real bad. It really depends on multiple things, the paper stock and humidity levels being big factors.

Hey @BottleneckNYC . I just found out I can't keep prints in tubes, what do I do with baroque portfolios being sold out? I buy some sleeves for the meantime or do you have alternatives for storage?

@100percentMint @ergFX @Huff4Congress It took til the Model T for jobs to be replaced to what was lost. So 20+ years. Projections for AI show that yes 10s of thousands of jobs will be lost but double that will be created. I understand they are projections but best be proactive.

Here’s what will actually happen with AI and film: -Many VFX pros will lose their jobs -Studios will embrace AI -Great films will still use AI along with practical effects and CG -Production costs will drop -More risks will be taken by studios -Studios will stop cannibalizing and cheapening their old IP -More scripts will be brought to film -Theaters will show local AI films for a couple bucks a ticket, breathing new life into a dying industry -Tons of lazy, unwatchable dreck will be shoveled out - …which the great majority of film and TV already is -Story will remain what separates great projects from garbage, just as it did with silent films/b&w/color/traditional animation/computer animation/stop motion/books/stage plays/comics Chill out, everybody.

@Jillie_Alexis You do realize there is no Grandfather Clause in the SAVE act. It requires states to submit their voter roles to DHS and they can force entire states to re-register all of their voters. The problem won't be having the documents, it'll be the bottleneck they will create.

@Sadie_NC Alright, so what happens when they force everyone to re-register since there is no explicit Grandfather Clause? Do you think the DMV is prepared for the influx of people they would have to process in less than 6 months?

The SAVE Act explained for those who have no freakin' clue what they're talking about. It's not hard. Birth = Birth Certificate - provided at birth Marriage = Marriage Certificate - provided when you are married Name change = Need both If you're too dumb to keep these important records, you probably shouldn't be voting anyway.

@KatieMiller Because it is a waste of time and money. Do you really think this new system will be free to implement? Spending money to solve problems that don't exist, while our countries infrastructure and science goes to sh*t is the reason we are starting to trail behind China and others

@r0ck3t23 Isn't his entire business model for Tesla to be a robotaxi service. Are they going to be giving those rides away for free. Just because things will be automated doesn't mean they will be cheap or free. If he is talking Universal basic income, people will use it in different ways

Elon Musk just said saving for retirement becomes pointless in 10 to 20 years. Not speculation. Math. Musk: “Don’t worry about squirreling money away for retirement in like ten or 20 years. It won’t matter.” We passed the event horizon. Retirement savings assumes scarcity persists. It won’t. AI and robotics collapse labor costs to zero. Living costs follow. You’re not saving for security. You’re saving for a world that stops existing. Musk: “If any of the things that we’ve said are true, saving for retirement will be irrelevant.” Age of Abundance isn’t vision. It’s physics. Economic laws executing whether you believe them or not. 5,000 days. Fourteen years. Global GDP uncaps. Production approaches infinite. Net worth as concept dies. Only scarcity left is meaning. Money stops being the constraint. Timeline is shorter than your brain accepts. Fourteen years. We transition from survival work to Universal High Income in that window. Event horizon isn’t coming. You’re in it. Operating under old rules while ground disappears beneath you means you already lost. Production costs hit zero through automation. Everything priced on human labor reprices instantly. Housing. Food. Goods. Services. All reset when scarcity evaporates. Traditional planning assumes structure persists. Save for decades. Retire on capital returns in scarcity markets. That model shatters when abundance becomes baseline. You’re optimizing for a world vanishing while the replacement materializes. Your strategy becomes obsolete before you finish executing it. The retirement you’re building toward assumes costs stay high. They collapse. And your savings designed for expensive scarcity become irrelevant in cheap abundance. Every dollar you put away for future scarcity is a bet against the transformation already happening. And that bet loses the moment production costs hit zero and the economy you planned for stops functioning. You’re not preparing for the future. You’re clinging to a past that’s ending whether you accept it or not. And fourteen years from now, the question won’t be whether you saved enough. It’ll be why you wasted time saving for conditions that don’t exist anymore.

@HealthRanger You do realize if you write or draw content that is exactly the same as the copyrighted work you were trained and profit off it, you will get sued. The last AI video I saw was Hugh Jackman's Wolverine fighting Deadpool. If I made that clip as an advertisement I'd be sued.

To all those people complaining, "AI was trained on copyrighted content," well SO WERE YOU, dumb ass. Every movie you watched was copyrighted. Every book you read was copyrighted. Every TV show you saw was copyrighted. Your brain "learned" from all those things, and it shaped your knowledge and the way you think. Should all those copyright holders now SUE you for writing your own books, articles, or screenplays? After all, YOU were "trained on copyrighted content!"

@mattvanswol There is no Grandfather Clause in The SAVE Act, it requires that "every single state" submit its voter registration list to the DHS to verify citizenship, which would likely necessitate re-verification for all voters This isn't about "just showing ID" I'm for requiring basic ID

People scream about SAVE America Act. Say "Married woman no can vote if name change!" Say "You need passport! One hundred sixty five shiny rock!" Say "Democracy die!" Calm down. When you go to polls, regular ID fine. Just like boarding metal flying machine. Show ID. Cast vote. Go home. The extra stuff only for REGISTERING to vote or changing registration. To register, you must prove you citizen. That it. Passport is one of big list documents that prove citizen. Birth certificate fine. Naturalization papers fine. If you got married and changed name? Marriage document connect old name to new name. That normal paperwork. Not tyranny. Birth certificate cost thirty shiny rocks or less. Less than dinner out. People acting like you must climb mountain and fight dragon. No. You go to county office. Or request copy through mail or computer. Thirty bucks. Done. Other countries require proof of citizenship to vote. We somehow treat asking like apocalypse. This not Jim Crow. This not poll tax. This not literacy test. This is: Citizen vote. Non-citizen no vote. That basic. Lots of people lying to scare you. Fear good for fundraising. Relax. Get paperwork. Register. Vote. Republic survive.
Congresswoman Maxine Dexter@RepDexterOR

The SAVE America Act isn’t saving anyone.   Congress should be expanding access to the ballot box—not restricting it. This bill could make it harder for millions of married women to vote if it passes. It’s voter suppression disguised in the name of election security.    I will be voting HELL no.
