@HPbasketball there are a few places I think this falls apart, but why would the Wizards so aggressively speed up their timeline? that doesn’t makes much sense to me!

Here's one for everyone to tear apart. Memphis gets the No.1 pick and Wizards 2030 for 3 and 16 this year. Dybantsa and Edey together with Cedric. Bucks get Tre, No.6 overall pick who was better than he got to show this year bc of tanking, Kyshawn, the No.16 pick, Warriors' first round pick. I'm open to more stuff going there in terms of volume of picks for Giannis. Wizards move off AD, starting lineup is Tre Daryn Petersen Bilal Giannis Sarr Warriors get a win-now move for AD by moving off Jimmy, Jimmy chills for a year in Milwaukee and then does whatever. Warriors get AD with Draymond, solving the center position for the rest of Steph's career. When he needs to sit, Draymond plays center and hopefully AD is available when Draymond is out. Do you rather this for Milwaukee or the Warriors' smorgasbord of mid picks or Tyler Herro and stuff from Miami?

OKC can very well still win the series. didn't mean to imply it is over. that game was so, so, so high level though.

Really wishing I pulled the trigger on this tweet before Game 1. That was one of the best basketball games I’ve ever watched. It had everything — incredible drama, shotmaking, elite play, and enough adjustments to last a full series. That was like a spiritual experience.

Remember when certain people on here said Wemby was gonna be a bust?

The adjustments and counters to those adjustments revolving just around Wemby were amazing for a single game. The Spurs essentially want Wemby to play a one-man zone, staying low on the weak side to protect the paint. The Spurs would switch any other player out to the perimeter, regardless of matchup. Wemb primarily guarded Caruso when he was in. Prioritizing protecting the rim and daring Caruso to shoot led to so many of Caruso’s open 3PA’s. OKC’s adjustments late were to have Wemby *guard the action* with Caruso setting ball screens for SGA. Also, some of OKC’s late sets to get SGA in space, because of how many bodies the Spurs were sending at him, were extremely smart. Just an incredibly high-level game, chess match, and fun series ahead.

This tweet went viral - no shade to the OP - but Duncan is instructing Reed to *set the flare* after Duncan screens for Cade, not necessarily to slip it. How do I know? Because Detroit ran the exact same play a couple mins prior without the flare (and another with Duncan setting a step-up for Cade). Duncan used that experience to instruct Reed to set the flare... then *Reed* read that both Cavs defenders closed out to Duncan and slipped for two. Watch how it went down:

It is easy to overreact or get excited by a player's performance at the combine, but it really is just one data point. It's important to remember that looking great in workouts and impacting winning basketball are two very different things.

The combine is devoid of context -- the actual basketball is almost completely removed. No 9 other players, no making decisions, no physicality. How much value is there in a player's raw athletic tools without how they function in the context of a game? How representative are 25 shots with perfect passes on a single day?

Your feed is filled with combine testing measurements and shooting numbers where the prospect is the only player on the court. Does any of this actually matter?

Some of the Nuggets' struggles this playoffs are damning and other ones just don't make sense to me. Jokic and Murray forgetting how to shoot wide open 3s is the latter
