Even 5% coverage of the problem areas will allow us to take down more issues. Don’t let perfection get in the way of progress :)

@DetCrashmore44 @mollyfleck And I’ve seen the cops waiting at the stations get on the train cars I’ve been on and remove the problems this year, twice. It removed erratic behavior and improved my commute. Not theatre! I get you don’t like police but please stop advocating for my commute to get worse

@ericdotk @mollyfleck I ride the Blue twice a day , almost every day. Red and Brown for a few years each as well. I see cops in the station sometimes. But Not riding the trains on duty though.

Had nothing like it in 2025, but I do have 2 direct experiences with my commute improving so I dispute the theatre claim. I do doubt the claim that you’ve never seen a cop on the train in 18 years, unless you rarely ride?

@ericdotk @mollyfleck At the end of the day it’s just math. The CTA says they have about 2,340 total runs per day. 2,340 x the number of cars per run means a tiny % of cars per run can have a cop there at any given time. Again, it’s theater.

@DetCrashmore44 @mollyfleck Twice this year I’ve seen police remove an erratic person from the train, one homeless man was directly threatening women and the other a woman lighting her backpack on fire. Combine that with benefits like this, this is a great step forward for improving my daily commute!

@mollyfleck How many runs per day does each line make? How many train cars are in use during those runs? How many deputies will be riding the train? This is theater , not crime prevention.

the “something big is coming” article is just one big ad for ai, where the only solution to the problem is the problem. fear is a powerful marketing tactic.

@TechSalesGuy People underestimate their support tool too for leads. Most orgs won’t have all users get passed to sales crm, and a lot of IC’s/low level managers who take external new roles get missed, even if you’re using a tool like usergems
