With House Bill 1200 now signed into law, Indiana has taken decisive action to protect Hoosiers’ safety! The state will now crack down on illegal aliens holding Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs), mandate English proficiency for all CDL testing, and impose serious penalties on companies that employ unlicensed or undocumented drivers. President Trump called for the revocation of CDLs issued to illegal aliens in his State of the Union address — and Indiana answered the call. Our office was proud to craft key language in this bill and work hand-in-hand with legislators like State Rep. Jim Pressel to ensure it crossed the finish line. We've seen too many tragic accidents caused by those with no legal right to be behind the wheel of massive commercial trucks or in the country at all. No more. Through this new law, we are leading the way to make our roadways safer.
