@saxonviolets79 @Aarvoll_ The events weren’t explicitly factual but the society and injustices portrayed were very factual. Black men were charged unjustly all the time. The mildly unusual thing about this case is that he wasn’t lynched before the trial but convicted then “shot while escaping”

@Aarvoll_ I always found it weird that they were teaching a historical fiction book as factual in public schools. Schindler's List too.
They might as well read Outlander and learn how a time-traveling sex-tourist was responsible for the founding of america.

Leftists have been falling for the same lie that White society unjustly persecutes Blacks for more than a century
"To Kill a Mockingbird" offers the same message as the George Floyd narrative
They are leveling false accusations against Whites: defend us when you see it

We should not be surprised. Tory Brexit Minister David Davis promised “Brexit Impact Assessments” would be done in advance of the vote in Parliament but they never were.

THE EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTS
• the right to a fair trial
• freedom of assembly & expression
• the right to participate in free elections
• freedom of religion
• freedom from discrimination
• the right to privacy
• freedom from torture & degrading treatment
Suggesting the UK could join Russia & Belarus as the only European countries outside the human rights convention is completely insane & any argument we can just leave the ECHR and create our own bill of rights pre-supposes you can actually trust the party proposing it with our human rights in the first place - WE CAN’T!
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2
THE EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS IS A SAFETY NET THAT PROTECTS US ALL - NO MATTER WHO IS IN POWER WE MUST DEFEND IT! Planned reforms to how it works could lead to a slow erosion of our rights. Is that what we want? WE MUST ACT NOW: Watch this film. Email your MP and call on them to oppose changes that will water down OUR PROTECTIONS @libertyhq

A binman in Turkey’s capital found a bag of thrown-away books on his rounds and couldn’t bring himself to take it to the dump. He kept it. Other workers started doing the same. The pile has now grown into a public library of over 9,000 books, run by sanitation workers, in an old brick factory.
