@natecurtiss_yt The longer a video is, the harder it is to make. The more effort it takes to make it great, and to keep retention high. Don't shoot for a specific time. Shoot for however long it needs to be. Every video has a different story, and requires a different number of pages.

@teles_dev @theo As far as I am reading latency on that post is defined as the time to generate the full output, which is equivalent to single session TPS * tokens output (which is constant for the study)?

@theo @EricParker I don't have the answer but unless I am misunderstanding something, this has nothing to do with it. Turbo mode increases throughput on a single session, I'm not sure if it affects latency at all.

Can someone smarter than me explain how these “turbo mode” things work on like an implementation level? Are they using better GPUs? More GPUs? Reserved allocation during generation?

@DNAbyss_EN To be clear we are not talking about login issues, we are talking about your servers being compromised and shipping malware to players.

Looks like Nordstrom ("Normstrom" 🫠) had some kind of breach. Emails being sent out from nordstrom.com addresses (via Salesforce from the look of the headers) with a common crypto scam and urgency markers.

Companies House has now alerted all five million UK companies of the vulnerability that let anyone, anywhere in the world, access the private dashboard of any company. Meaning: view confidential personal information, modify company/director details, even file accounts.

Scammers don't hack verification systems. They comply with them. Real photo. Fake data. Clean metadata. That's it. @JimBrowning11 built this doc to prove it. He and @_JohnHammond are pulling back the curtain March 18. okt.to/hc71BN

But I was told this whole campaign for mass surveillance laws was just home grown parents looking to “keep kids safe”! Who could have ever predicted it’s all big tech lobbying and Democrats willing to sell us out to big corporations for more control over online speech
vx-underground@vxunderground

Yeah, so basically it turns out Meta has been heavily lobbying online age verification laws. They've lobbied over $2,000,000,000 to politicians in form of grants and donations. x.com/bee_fumo/statu…

The irony of course is that making this amendment makes the law even more unconstitutional You can’t argue a speech restriction satisfies strict scrutiny if you’re letting some companies ignore it
The Lunduke Journal@LundukeJournal

The CEO of @system76 met with Colorado lawmakers today, in an attempt to convince them to add an “exemption for open source software” to their version of California’s “Age Verification for all Operating Systems” law. “Our concerns were heard and shared. The next step is exchanging and discussing specific language changes to the bill including an exemption for open source software.” Adding, “We hope to make sensible, strong arguments for excluding open source which then becomes a standard for other states. It's going to be difficult.”

this is actually insane > be tech guy in australia > adopt cancer riddled rescue dog, months to live > not_going_to_give_you_up.mp4 > pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA > feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold > zero background in biology > identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets > design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch > genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own > need ethics approval to administer it > red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine > 3 months, finally approved > drive 10 hours to get rosie her first injection > tumor halves > coat gets glossy again > dog is alive and happy > professor: “if we can do this for a dog, why aren’t we rolling this out to humans?” one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline. we are going to cure so many diseases. I dont think people realize how good things are going to get

Obvious questions: - how long were Companies House's systems vulnerable? - can they identify the companies whose dashboards were accessed? And equally obvious bad consequences if in fact this has been exploited.
