The Sanskrit name for the spirit of a person who become stuck in the bardo (in-between state) (Skt. antarabhava) of death is bhuta. According to different sources, when someone who at the moment of death and after that has strong attatchment to the life one had, usually these people become stuck in the transition state between one life to the other. This happens many times to people who have premature death or die due to accidents.

A while back, Adyashanti taking SSRIs went viral, posed as this gigantic disappointment and source of disillusionment for practitioners. but imo blindly meditating and expecting it to solve all your problems is silly at best, rigid/uncreative at worst. There's so much more than stillness or states that can heal you and open you up. There's stuff that takes you into your body, stuff that makes you move & vocalize. I think it just goes to show that modern practitioners need to be steeped in tradition but flexible and creative enough to meet modern ailments right where they are.

@morgan_rager @Aizkmusic Absolutely. Especially throat singing or trance inducing screams do the trick. Songs like Way of all the flesh by Gojira or Pisces by Jinjer or In Maidjan by Heilung. These are some of them. I think you'll enjoy songs by - Long distance calling (old love, immunity, out there).

Also shit I listen to. Jinjer and Opeth and Lorna Shore and Between the Buried and Me and the list goes on and on. I'm not a musician but top level complexity and composition and musicianship, with extreme vocals (if there are any) done by singers that are .001%ers....this is what quiets my brain.

I have a theory that people who listen to instrumental music or music in languages they don't understand have very loud and chatty internal monologues.

@morgan_rager @Aizkmusic It's absolutely shocking to see how many of these bands are a part my playlist and a repeatedly listened to. And I've noticed that my inner monologue gets muted when I listen to music of a language that I don't speak or technical death metal/alt-metal/rock(Gojira, Meshuggah etc)

OHMYFUCKINGGOD! I feel personally attacked. Animals as Leaders, Polyphia, Plini, tons of instrumental only tracks from bands with vocalists. Babymetal, Nemophila, The Hu, Heilung, Wardruna. All of this can be found in my algorithm on YTM and my internal monologue runs from wake to sleep all day, everyday. How did you come to this conclusion?

Indian weddings have become Western in odd ways. Couples find each other, fund it themselves, and want “simple” weddings. No rituals, but designer wear, mehendi, sangeet, reels, candid shoots, and destination venues. “Simple” mostly means the couple also controls the guest list😬

@FoolzWizdom These things are an easy proxy to a "show" that you belong to the tribe. Don't have to be one to show you are "one" among. After a year someone will inflate these symbols and claim it cures all the diseases under the Sun if you get it tied in that particular shop at some temple.
