I do not think it is too radical an idea to say that keeping teeth in your mouth should not be a luxury. Medicare must be expanded to include dental care, eyeglasses, and hearing aids.

Workers are getting real raises for the first time in 15 years and the only narrative you hear in the press is "businesses are struggling." Really strikes home how many journalists are assigned to cover businesses and how barely any are assigned to cover workers.

The prosecutor did not “make an error.” He lied.
He lied about the police killing a child.
Ending this isn’t just about consequences for who pulls the trigger. It’s about admitting to and confronting an entire system that exists to protect, defend, and cover up state violence.

UPDATE: Chicago has released bodycam video of the police killing of 13-year-old #AdamToledo: ▪️ The video shows Adam had his hands up when police opened fire, killing him. ▪️ Cook County now says prosecutor made an error when they said Adam was holding a gun.

Funding body cameras.
Funding more trainings.

Adam Toledo was a 13-year-old kid. Police killed him while he was unarmed with his hands up in the air.
Kyle Rittenhouse was armed. He shot and killed 2 people with an AR-15. Police let him go home.

FYI the assault weapons ban worked.
Gun massacres dropped by 37% during the 10-year period of the ban.
Then, when it lapsed in 2004, mass shootings increased by 183%, resulting in a 239% increase in deaths.
