Congrats to $CARDS for breaking $200M market cap again. Lately it feels like Solana @solana @solanagaming are leaning hard into the TCG card sector. Maybe the Internet Capital Market thesis will first become real in the TCG card market? From what I’ve heard, $Cards is Is likely to be one of the strategic partners of One Arena to power gacha and sell back features. $CARDS: 200M market cap. One Arena: 4M I don’t think the gap should be this big if One Arena actually becomes the application layer for this sector in which you could gacha, battle, socail, yield with RWA Cards. A good way to judge whether a product has a high probability of succeeding is to ask: Does it follow the industry playbook? I think One Arena does. Their model is very clear: - Gacha pulls users in. - Light battle and defi features keep them there. In onchain TCG, gacha + instant buyback is a great mechanism because it is naturally strong at generating GMV. Users get the thrill of opening packs, while instant buyback solves the liquidity exit problem. People can open packs without worrying about liquidity, which greatly boosts GMV. This is a must-have feature for any platform. But the real point is that gacha is great for acquisition, not enough for long-term retention. Retention usually comes from what users can do after gacha. The best proof of this industry playbook is Pokémon TCG Pocket. It didn’t just sell packs. It built a low-friction loop around: - collecting - light battling - social - repeat engagement And the result was massive, $1.2B+ revenue in year one, great retention. Right now, most onchain card projects still get most of GMV from gacha alone. (some said it's 90%+) So if One Arena can actually combine onchain gacha liquidity with fast, lightweight PvP, that is a real product innovation. It solves all of these pain points at once: - Physical cards offer real collectible value, but limited digital utility - Pure digital card games are fun, but lack a true sense of ownership - On-chain card platforms have gacha, while application layer is still weak Crypto is extremely good at repricing real innovation very aggressively. $CARDS almost hits $200M today, and a project like One Arena sitting at just a few million looks wildly underpriced to me. Sub-$100M feels way too low if they execute.
