Oddly, @ReformUKScot deputy chair and lifelong Scottish independence supporter David "Liability" Kirkwood was uncharacteristically quiet yesterday. He omitted to tell us that he has been selected as Reform's candidate in the Dumfriesshire constituency. Maybe he's shy?

You have to wonder: if this is how @reformparty_uk senior figures talk in public, what on Earth do they say in private?

I'm told that a newly announced @ReformUKScot candidate in Fife had a lengthy record of misconduct while a councillor (for two different parties). She was censured twice and suspended for two months. Sounds like Reform's rigorous candidate vetting procedure was worth the wait.

Never in my life when I first came forward in 2018 and gave my testimony to @ThePromiseScot did I think that now in 2026 after watching all the debates in parliament and the bill passing and having watched every podcast and attending the conference in Edinburgh that their biggest achievement to date is not just to continue to ignore victims and survivors of institutional child sex abuse but they have also managed to turn the whole country into not mentioning the words child sex abuse but they have set the trend across the whole of Scotland to put it under the banner of mental health issues. Some of us who grew up in the care system being abused in the sixties have waited fifty years for something like this and it makes me physically sick. When we all gave our testimonies we were promised the world and I have dozens of emails full of false promises and I told many people to keep the faith because I fell for all the lies.. When I watch all these podcasts and statements and video I find myself asking how all these people can sleep at night and I tell myself surely all these people have not been brainwashed into ignoring all these children who we know are still being abused in the care system. So many times we have heard about people in the promise being threatened and even having their cars set on fire and everyone asks, where is @NicolaSturgeon ? How can you possibly look forward with hope for the safety of the children of Scotland when you have walked over the graves of all those children who never saw adulthood, and you have turned your backs on all of us with the lived experiences and the scars to show where we went wrong in the past? I’m really at my wits end and can’t cope with this much more..
