Treaty to end global plastic pollution advanced in Nairobi: Delegates met in Kenyan capital Nairobi on Monday for talks geared towards creating the first global, legally-binding agreement on plastic pollution on land and in the oceans. The task that falls under the UN Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution is expected to complete the negotiations by end of next year.
