Do people constantly try to kill you and your family? Is there a very realistic chance you'll be murdered in the this week? Did someone kill or raped your friends recently? If the answer is NO and you nevertheless blame those who answer YES, you reached Master Gasligher level

Hey @united I am going to fly from Zürich to Washington early December (economy class) to attend a conference. Will I be allowed to carry a poster tube with scientific posters as a personal item on the plane?

First Day at Les Houches Winter School on Fluorescent Markers. Lectures starting now with Agathe Espagne. Feels good (but still weird somehow) to be back at in person meetings!

immunosuppressed patients can persistently be infected with SARS-CoV-2 (in this case ~150 days). Such conditions can help the virus to acquire mutations facilitating immune escape and possibly could lead to increased pathogenicity. nature.com/articles/s4146… #VirologyFreiburg

Let me tag Svenja Ulferts @esbenja2 here, she's working in the Grosse lab as a PhD student, and helped to make the experiment happen. I didn't know you're on Twitter, hence the late tag, thank you!

Data so new, I am borderline scared to post: nuclear actin filaments forming after cell division, in a live #zebrafish embryo. Recorded only 4 days ago, injecting "ready-to-go" nuclear actin-chromobody-GFP protein produced last month by @grosse_lab Microscope: iSIM @VisiTech_UK

I am happy to have contributed to this work published today! Using high resolution microscopy we were able to image and localize most of the viral proteins in the context of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Go read the paper to find out what we discovered ;-)

Work led by @QBI_UCSF found similarities in how 3 coronaviruses, including #SARSCOV2, engage human hosts. Studying medical billing data showed outcomes of #COVID19 patients treated w/ drugs against selected host factors. Results may guide drug development fcld.ly/5bxhkdu

We are excited to be featured on the cover of @CellCellPress for our article: “The Global Phosphorylation Landscape of SARS-CoV-2 Infection”. Thanks to our fantastic collaborators, with special mention of Elizabeth Fischer who took this electron microscopy image of SARS-CoV-2!

@grosse_lab found that the virus induces the formation of filopodia, potentially via CK2 activation that co-localises with N at these extensions. This may contribute to the viral egress and infection of nearby cells.
