I don't know why I had it in my head we'd get a proper 4K disk with a fancy slipcover and all the usual trappings, but yeah I'm happy with this. We got two commentary tracks so hey I'm not complaining.

@firewalkwjaime I think the Avengers as a name brand might be too big to fail, so in fairness it'll probably have a very strong opening weekend. But I'd be shocked if it kept up at all in the following weeks with Dune, which has always succeeded off sustained word-of-mouth and repeat viewings.

@ethan_beard1920 Also, outside of the usual MCU diehards, I just don't really think that a new Avengers movie is going to have that much pull now that Iron Man's story is over? Because even something like Spider-Man and Deadpool brought in numbers because they're characters everyone loves.

@davefranklin Had that thought during a really tender hug moment that wouldn’t stop undermining its emotion with jokes. The scene with Gosling and Huller in her office towards the end I thought was handled really well though. Finally one fully serious scene.

I enjoyed Project Hail Mary, but there’s a scene where something tragic happens and Gosling is told he is needed for what is essentially a suicide mission… and he instantly fires off about 9 jokes and I just thought would it fucking kill this film to be even 20% more serious?
