@Indian_Bronson if you're screening out interview candidates by asking them to write fibonacci in brainfuck idk what to tell you

Compsci grads are given coding challenges in languages they haven't seen before + with just a little bit of syntax and are asked to do stuff like code up a Fibonacci sequence to prove they're not just parroting, all the time And that does screen out people, but not 90%

More proof LLMs aren't conscious and aren't generalizing any information, and therefore aren't going to become generally intelligent, but are in fact (still extremely useful) trained statistical responders.
Lossfunk@lossfunk

🚨 Shocking: Frontier LLMs score 85-95% on standard coding benchmarks. We gave them equivalent problems in languages they couldn't have memorized. They collapsed to 0-11%. Presenting EsoLang-Bench. Accepted to the Logical Reasoning and ICBINB workshops at ICLR 2026 🧵

@austinc3301 you can extract the oauth token with claude setup-token which lets you run it in a container

@austinc3301 not too difficult, basically writing a harness to run claude code instances with assigned personas and research objectives inside of docker containers (which if you're only running locally you don't even need)

Say what you will about Emily Wilson's translation of the Odyssey, but when it hits, it hits.

@AttackOnChitin Maybe it means like being tactful in what you say to avoid hurting other people's feelings but that feels like kind of a weird claim to make about jesus

@IsaacKing314 I suspect the vagueness is kind of the point, it can make it sound more impressive than it is, and forces you to get Further In to figure out what it does and if it works for your usecase

For years I found SaaS websites confusing. Why do they put only bland corpospeak on there? How is anyone supposed to know what they're actually selling? Ah well, these websites aren't targeted towards individuals like me anyway- I'm sure it makes sense in the business world. Well as someone now in the business world trying to find vendors for my company, I can report that... I still have absolutely no idea what these companies are selling.
