Today, Executive Director Dr. Eng. Nestor Niyonzima warmly received the new Chairperson of NBI's "twin" institution @nilebasin Ms Aynalem Ashebir, who paid a courtesy call on him. "We cannot do #NileCooperation without civil society," Dr Nestor remarked.

A new chapter for @nilebasin as Ms. Aynalem Ashebir - Ethiopia becomes NBD Board Chairperson, succeeding Ms. Verdiane Nyiramana - Rwanda. An experienced civil society leader, Aynalem brings strong regional expertise. Her election advances women leadership in water governance.
