Ethereum Time Capsule

Some back-of-the-napkin ‘10 years of @ethereum’ numbers and thoughts, through the lens of POAP. 🔗 collections.poap.xyz/collections/et… - 92 independent Ethereum communities hosted IRL gatherings and issued a POAP to commemorate the occasion. 🌍 - 2,731 people collected a POAP - 1,889 had an @ensdomains set - 633 wallets were first-time POAP minters (welcome! 🤝) - 182 media uploads (photos/videos) using POAP Moments. Thanks to the @ethereumfndn for creating art assets communities could remix and use, and also to them and @ETHGlobal for helping share info regarding the availability of those assets. Over the past two weeks, I’ve chatted with over 100 event organisers around the world. Some are long-time POAP issuers and collectors. Others, discovering the protocol for the first time. What stood out across the conversations though was a shared desire to commemorate this historic anniversary together, onchain. Hopefully issuing a POAP at your local event (a prescious gift from you to your community and friends) sparked connections and has lit the fuse to do so again at your next gathering. If that is the case, then feel free to reach out any time you need assistance or have a question 🫡 🚨 To organisers: you can still upload media from your event using moments.poap.xyz or the POAP Home mobile app. 🎞️ This is especially helpful in preserving the memory of your event and allowing attendees to revisit it at any time, in just a few clicks. ——————————————— Lastly, when speaking with our community (as recently as last night with @proofofjake_) it becomes abundantly clear to me that @poapxyz is how the Ethereum community remembers.
