@MayraABC13 I grew up on the SE side of Houston in the 70s and 80s and felt like I had no choice but to anglicize my name. I didn't start saying it right until I was in my 30s and had moved to San Antonio. I admired Elma, even if I didn't have the courage to pronounce my name correctly.

⁦@COSAGOV⁩ made us remove our garden patio at Barbaro. There’s no ordinance that allows for it to be permitted, melting their bureaucrat brains. So now we get three cars instead…in a historic “walkable” neighborhood. These are the people running this city.

@ramit A slightly different take -- I can afford to hire people to make repairs on my house and usually do, but sometimes I enjoy fixing things myself. It's a fun diversion. Having a Rich Life means being able to choose your activities.

@cleija3 My native-speaker wife and I spoke to our son only in Spanish for his first couple of years and then English won over when he went to preschool. He’s in high school now and we’re talking about putting him in an immersion program in Mexico or Spain so he can gain fluency… 3/4
