Isso é uma falsa equivalência. Primeiro, porque o Neymar não foi o único atacante convocado; segundo, porque cada jogador exerce uma função diferente dentro de campo. Por que o PVC não fez essa mesma comparação com o Martinelli, que tem 29 jogos e apenas 1 gol na PL? Usar números isolados sem considerar o contexto de cada um, é, no mínimo, desonestidade intelectual.

My 2 cents on the Lupita Nyong’o Odyssey debate: I think Christopher Nolan set Lupita Nyong’o up by casting her as Helen of Troy. This was always going to create controversy because Helen is one of the most iconic figures in Greek mythology. It’s similar to how many Black people would react if a white actor was cast to play Shaka Zulu or Nelson Mandela. People become protective over historical and cultural figures they strongly associate with their identity. In my opinion race swapping in stories so tied to a specific culture can sometimes feel forced and ends up creating unnecessary backlash, division and even racism instead of focusing on the actual performance.

you’re forgetting an integral part of this… you keep looking at the bronze age when the story of helen of troy is depicted in, through the 2026 lense of today. ancient egyptians were not identical to modern egyptians; egypt sat in a trade corridor, so it was never isolated. dna and archaeology generally show continuity with northeast african populations mixed with near eastern influence, rather than being one isolated ethnic group. bronze age egypt (roughly 3300 bce–1200 bce) was primarily populated by people who had developed along the nile valley, mixed over thousands of years with populations from: • northeastern africa (sudan/nubia region) • the levant (modern israel/palestine, lebanon, jordan, syria) • sahara populations when the sahara was greener. north africa in that time had a range of racial colours so again you can’t decide it’s a caucasian person. the borders you see today are a result of colonialism… don’t forget that

a few things to consider… 1. beauty standards weren’t the same as now and each era has represented helen of troy as they desire since there is no description of her facial features besides that everyone was captivated by her beauty. 2. greek mythology focuses on effect and function. modern culture envisions all mythological creatures as caucasian which is completely inaccurate. there are so many creatures and none are of european decent. 3. she was from the bronze age which would make her more likely darker skinned not fair skinned 4. victorian europe made her white and hollywood made her blonde and both are inaccurate historically 5. her parents were greek gods and they weren’t depicted to have any white/european/caucasian features. her divinity is most likely what moved people and made her otherworldly. it’s a lot like casting a mermaid as white european when it’s literally a mythological creature in the form of half fish and half human, this would mean that mermaids can be any colour. this picture is a closer depiction of how she could have looked according to archaeology and the possibilities presented by myth.
