But regardless there’s a reason they chose to do Pride(they support and want a large LGBTQ community within the game)

The compute itself is sufficient, since Cybercab will start with AI4. Also full L4/L5 imply that any human inputs (even speed modes) should be considered as unsafe.

AI4+ goes into production next year. 16GB to 32GB upgrade (per SoC)

Elon Musk says AI5 won't go into cars soon because AI4 will achieve Unsupervised FSD: "At som point it will make sense to switch to AI5 in the car, but there's not a pressing issue to do so. But at some point AI4 will get so old. We are planning an AI4 upgrade to use neuro generation ram. It will go from 16gb to 32gb. Probably a 10% increase in compute. That will probably go into production in the middle of 2027."

@ev_insiders @SawyerMerritt I doubt that. Tesla never promised unsupervised FSD on existing AI4 even for paid FSD upgrade. Wording for customer FSD has always been supervised. Maybe a more capable version would be available for AI4.5 and both AI4 & 4.5 can do unsupervised.

@thecircuitpulse @SawyerMerritt That’s likely False for paid FSD owners, if it’s a necessity for Unsupervised then we’ll be upgraded like HW3 FSD owners.

@SawyerMerritt For existing AI4 owners, this would most likely be a paid upgrade. Going from 16gb to 32gb memory with increased bandwidth would allow them to run bigger models faster.

@teslascope You’re forgetting that AI4.1+ will exist and there’s many AI4 vehicles that lack front bumper cameras.

Full Self-Driving V15 will come out later this year or early next year and will run on the latest hardware (AI4). There are no plans to bring AI5 (recently tapped out) to customer vehicles for the foreseeable future.
